Title: RE:Double vision
Post by: BFFPeggy on September 21, 2008, 12:55:54 PM
I have double vision,The eye doctor sent me for a MRI.
After the MRI I was sent to a neurologist ,There were other things also,I was tired all the time,I became very  unbalanced and fell a lot.
I was confused also and my short term memory was not good.
After a year of taking test after test, the neurologist told me that I have MS.I was so thankful.
It could have been worse, like brain tumor or brain cancer.
I wish you the best and I hope you get good news and not bad.
Thank you
Peggy

Double vision can also sometimes mean astigmatism. I have very slight double vision because of it.

Glad to know you don't have a brain tumor.  :P

I am not hypocondric but I have also had a double vision problem,  feeling tired, wrong balance etc. About 9 years ago a neurologist saw those symptons. The he looked at me, read my healthrecords.
He became frustrating and very serious, very serious. And then he said: Those problems go away when you understand that you create them yourself. I did not see that neurologist second time.

So I got those symptons back in the year. Some doctors did consultation to the leading neurologist expert. After that I was once at an other neurologist appointment. She told that the leading expert had said that the probably diagnoses was some syndrome called Munchenhausen syndrome. But they were not sure. This doctor did not explain what the syndrome was only that I did not have be worried about it.

No. The leading expert was very sure. And here I am still after years. No deadly syndroms or what ever it is. I have still my symptons time to time but they usually go away. I have couple of minor neurological dysfunctions found now later. I have intention tremor permanently. Also I have been diagnosed a neuropsychologic disorder in short time memory and quit severe disorder in something called visuo-motoric kills.

Oops. >:( But I should know myself in the case I have the syndrome. And why an expert neurologist would make a psychiatric diagnose!!!

Now I understand why doctors are so negative towards me. In my papers there must be something about the Munchenhousen. The expert did not even see me. And gave me that kind of the diagnose. So fair >:-)
