Hey girls,
I am in Alaska and on SSI disability for mental health reasons, although much of that is healing since coming out...
Anyway, I have an excellent PA who is sensitive, bright, methodical, and willing to co-ordinate care, but I'm totally swamped with information that seems confusing and contradictory.
My PA has never helped anyone through GRS, (and I can't find anyone up here who has). He has asked me for two things as we make up a long term plan that ends with bottom surgery, (and will be followed by an appropriate on-going care plan).
the two things are: a primary and secondary choice for bottom surgery so he can contact and co-ordinate.
And a source of reliable care-giver information to give him guidance through the process.
I see so many surgeons on the net, how do you choose?
I think in two years I might be able to save up 18,000 or so, but who is reliable?
I understand Thailand is less expensive, but are they good? Safe? reliable?
I have a friend who had hers done somewhere near Toronto, she says she liked the care, but how would I judge?
I'd like to find someone who could do the work in Seattle. It's my favorite city, it's close, I have supportive friends there.
Any ideas??
Bri

I'm seeing a lot of support for Dr. Bowers. I'm leaning that way.
