Not that I particularly enjoy reminding myself it exists, but someone on another board brought this up and I realized its happened to me too.

Why is the head always moist now? I'm pretty sure I never had this problem as a male.

I'm pretty much atrophied now, but why would moisture appear now as a result of HRT? The crap?

At best I can make a glorified guess at what is happening, but I think that it is due to sweat glands getting more active for some reason. This is probably a side effect of estrogen, but don't quote me on that. I checked my copy of The Merck Manual to no avail.

I get the impression that the sweat glands are more active.
Also, with tucking there's not the airflow that existed previously.
Add tight-fitting nylon underwear and you have a sweaty situation.

I've noticed the moisture as well but I'm tucking like I always have. It's got to
be related to HRT. The smell is very different now too.

I'll also add that the skin down there is SO soft now... anyone else notice that?

Just sounds like the mucus membrane on the end of your guy-bit is producing more mucus. Maybe hormones have a stimulating effect on your mucus membranes, that would be my guess.

Although... That is a better sign for SRS I'd think though, right? Cause I've heard you have absolutely no lubrication there if its a vaginoplasty, but maybe if your body naturally produces a LITTLE It wouldn't be as bad?

It doesn't, at least not on the outside. (the urethra is one however, to protect it from the acidity of urine)

I've read conflicting stuff on this. Some sites rekon there is a membrane on the underside of the foreskin. Some reports the head of the penis is a mucus membrane. Some say the 'glands'  are a mucus membrane. mmm mystery, I would delve further but I am at work and the pictures are not condusive of my contiunued employment.

Ahhhh, the wonders of Grandmother Estrogen!

Presuming that you were born with a prostate gland, estrogen has begun to change the function and product of the prostate gland from producing a highly alkaline substance required for sperm to survive the acid environment of the male *genitourinary* tract.  Instead of being at-work for having sex only, the prostate gland now provides lubrication for the neovagina and neoclitoris, the medical terms I use for what is to be post-op in M to F.

The body changes from the smell of testosterone to the fragrance of estrogen.  Hypatia is, IMHO, quite right.

Also note that in the female anatomy there are separate genital and urinary tracts while in the male there is one passage for both purposes, thus the need for the alkaline substance.

Hi Deviousxen, well my partner had the more technical terms to explain it so I let her post that part. But I wanted you to know that I have certainly observed some noticeable difference in your facial appearance from previous photos. And you certainly have some pretty healthy thick hair growth.

I must say you are a good looking kid no mater how you dice it. The second from the from the bottom right corner is a realy good looking photo of you. It appears different then the others, maybe because it was taken in a different tone of light. I love the last one as well. For certain I can see the change. How long have you been on HRT now? I am sure that once fully developed you will be a gorgeous looking girl.

That is truly amazing the change, how long on HRT?

I've been on HRT since February, but on a full dose in like April I'd say?

Would you say those are good results for that time? I hope is all :\

It really is surreal and amazing mostly even in the first person.

I dosed up slowly. I am now prescribed, which is good... Cause it costs less money to get my brains parts off of Walmart than the internet....

It happens to most of us, hon.  Welcome to womanhood.  I think it's caused by the 'cowper's gland, or 'bulbourethral gland.

   "The bulbourethral glands are compound tubuloalveolar glands, each approximately the size of a pea. They are composed of several lobules held together by a fibrous covering. Each lobule consists of a number of acini, lined by columnar epithelial cells, opening into a duct which joins with the ducts of other lobules to form a single excretory duct.
