Title: Ever feel like your're being followed?

I just arrived for my laser appointment and this guy was riding my ass all the till I turned.
I parked at the treatment center to get my things together and saw this same vehicle pull in and stop at the other end of the parking lot just sitting in the empty spaces.
I waited for five minutes and drove off.
I came back two minutes later and this vehicle was gone.
I must really be getting Paranoid! lol
But really, what are the odds?
Anyone with similiar stories?

I had something similar but different happen to me. I was on my way back from seeing my therapist about a week ago, and she's kinda far away but the drive isn't too bad. I stopped at a rest area to get a soda and noticed the car that followed behind me parked right next to me at the end of an otherwise empty parking lot, about as far from the rest area building as you can get (I'm trying to squeeze in extra walking everywhere I can, not that it does that much, but anyway...)
I thought that was pretty weird, but I went and got what I wanted, then noticed the guy in the car was staring at me the whole time I was walking back. I started to get a little scared, so I got in my car quickly and locked the door. I cleaned up a few things in my car thinking by the time I was done he would be gone or something because I was obviously just being paranoid. Nope - I look up and the guy's eyes are locked on me still. As soon as he saw me start my car, he took off.
So then I did something potentially stupid and followed him, but he got off the very next exit, which was all of a half mile down the road. The whole thing really freaked me out.

According to my wife, this kind of thing happens all the time to women. So much so that women should be extra careful for their safety - don't go to dangerous or iffy places, a girl should pay attention to what is happening around her and know what to do should something bad happen. Women need to get their keys out of purse before entering a parking lot. Not only will it make for a quicker getaway, but they can be used as a weapon.
As men, we M2Fs had it good. We could go almost anywhere without much fear of being attacked at worst or harrassed at best. Men are not usually targets. Women are.
So, girls, please be careful out there. its bad enough to get clocked and harrassed by numbskulls, it would be devastating for a girl to be attacked, raped or worse - killed.

I had that happen years ago. I was dating a very prominent man who's "adversaries" had him under surveillance with a private eye. Very disconcerting!

There may be a different less threatening reason that you may be followed. When I lived in SF sometimes i would go down to the Castro District and just hang around. I'm not gay. I just went there in the hopes of meeting a TG girl and talking to her. So when i saw someone I would watch them and try to get up the nerve to talk to her. But I never could and sometimes they would notice me watching and I could see them getting nervous.
So sometimes it may just be one of us that isn't sure what to do.

I hear you... HRT is making me paranoid. I feel compelled to check my back while out of the house. While walking home at night I feel like there is always someone there when I know there is not.

A stun gun is a really good option because generally you can get a knockout or disorient the bastard relatively quickly. At the very least you should look into a women's self defense course; most of the one's I've seen are free.

Scarboroughfair, Maybe the guy was lost and thought you knew where he was going. Joke. I did have an elderly lady follow me once and when I parked and got out she asked for directions. She was lost. I guy followed me around the supermarket one day. It was strange that he happened to be looking for the same items as I. Afterward my GG friend told me that she spoke to him and he was just an admirer. I always try to stay in public view when in question. Hopefully a potentially dangerous person would be more hesitant to act out with other people around.

Sometimes I notice that women get so paranoid that they suspect some guys to be following them when in reality they are not- Just headed in the same direction as them. :)

Yeah I've had this happen many times when I'm walking to my car in a parking lot. If they look particularly skittish I try to take a different route or something to make them feel more comfortable.

Once, my dad and I were driving back from Scotland or something, and we followed a van for like 100 miles.
We remained almost exactly the same distance behind it, took all te same exists, etc.
But it was just coincidence!
My dad and this guy just drove in the same way.
Coincindences can and do happen.
But yes, still be careful.
The best thing to remember, car wise, is simply to lock the door. As soon as you get in the car, or as soon as you get out.

Good advice although if you have a bad crash you may be in trouble in consequence.
Living in a rough part of South London I always check what's going on around me, it's just a survival tactic really that everyone should do.
Speaking of which, while I was in the Post Office yesterday the shop next door got robbed. I'd seen the two guys as I went in and thought they looked like major trouble and dodgy as hell but it wasn't anything about me, they were just preparing to rob.
