I always find that these kinds of quizzes don't provide satisfactory answers for me.  Just as an example, I'd like for the Social Security question to have the option:
"End all payments into the program, meet all existing obligations, and end the program completely.  Replace it with NOTHING.  Saving for retirement is one's personal responsibility."

I just can't bring myself to answer any of those questions.  Even where my stance is clearly one way, the comments in the answers are just so ignorant that I can't bring myself to select them.

I found that I couldn't complete the quiz, because I couldn't choose one of the two answers for some of the questions.

Leave it to an androgyne to not be able to work through a binary, either-or political questionaire.

Not to mention the fact that "liberal" vs "conservative" as a binary distinction is biased towards the American political system.  Even in America, it makes about as much sense as having "blue" vs "red" for a choice of favorite color.  I don't consider myself a "liberal" OR a "conservative", so what am I?

Sometimes is not nice when people assume my political views. I have to many times say that no, when people imply me being a communist.   >:(

However in Europe the real political extremes are communists and facists. Both left or right of democratic society.

WHOO! I'm a full-fledged left-winger! BTW: I am not conservative when it comes to "National Defense" but I might be somewhat conservative when it comes to crime.

Actually, I hesitated a bit over that one too.  My problem with it is that I think hetero marriage, as of right now, constitutes a set of unfair, state-granted privileges.  I don't want anyone to have them, so I sure don't want to expand the system - but I know that we'll never be rid of the nationalization of marriage, so I have to support gay marriage to alleviate the injustice.

I don't think someone should be compelled by the government to recognize someone else's marriage, or be forced to offer certain benefits because of it.

If Bush was up for re-election (LITERALLY, not metaphorically), a pinky would be a bargain.  Along with my appendix, tonsils, spleen, pancreas, a kidney, a lung, my left arm, a grab bag of toes, an eyeball, both ears, all my teeth, 30% of my skin, half my liver, and my right brain hemisphere.

If you define "liberal" as "favoring the advancement of human freedom and prosperity" and conservative as "favoring stability, incremental reform, and established values", then I'm both.  If your idea of conservative is the popular American definition, then I'm not even close.

I honestly have no idea what conservative means in America these days, besides support for the Republican party.  It's like they have no values at all.  They used to lie about how they stood for things like limited government, free markets, and personal responsibility, but they don't even bother with that deception anymore.

If I answered those questions to express my stance on each issue presented , it would be 95% liberal.  The only issue on which I disagree with the Dems is guns.  I think women should have concealed, child-safe handguns.  But I disagree with the NRA crowd because I advocate for gun manufacturers to be forced to make child safe handguns commercially available in small, concealable, carry weapons.
