Title: Is Mango Products even still in business?
Post by: Arch on October 20, 2008, 11:27:32 AM
I ordered a packy from Mango early last month. I've been billed, but no merch has arrived. I sent an inquiring e-mail a week and a half ago. No reply. I just sent a huffy e-mail, but it's too early to hear back. After that, I'll send out a nastygram and ask my credit card company not to honor the charge.

Anyone else having recent trouble with Mango? This really has me peeved.

My friend brought me a packer from there on august 13th for my birthday which was on the 17th. It still hasn't arrived she has been billed on that day. She sent them an email asking where it was the other day and she got a message from paypal saying that they had just printed out the postage. I live in the UK so another month I have to wait to get my original product I brough. Three months down the line hopefully I will get it! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

So no its not just you.

And personally I will NOT be ordering from them again!

Weird. I was emailing them back and forth in July asking about a product. I got more than one response so I know they were around. But they ran out of the product I wanted so I ended up not buying from them.

With DJ's I was billed immediately just like you guys were, but I received my packer either on the 4th or 5th week after I had ordered it. It was a long time to wait and I was about to ask what was taking so long, but then DJ's is in Canada, not the U.S. so I gave it leeway.

I thought Mango was in the US though? So it really shouldn't take that long...

EDIT: The mango site says it takes 4 weeks to arrive in the U.S., 6 weeks outside of the U.S. Do you guys remember the exact date you ordered it?

Yep august 13th way over 6 weeks now. I think if they had of sold out they should have sent an email saying that they have and ask whether i wanted a refund or just wanted to wait. Its very bad customer service.

My binders took less than two weeks to come from the US.

I will see how long its actually going to take as I have seen when they printed of the postage.

I ordered back in May and it did take 4 weeks plus to get my stuff.  I just placed an order a couple of days ago as my Mango will need replacing in a few months (not waiting until I need it).  My poor Mango has suffered terrible abuse but I love it enough to order another one.

Mango is horrid.

If you're looking for a just a packer, Jay, the packers that everywhere sells are identical.

Yeah... I ordered a Mango STP on September 9th & paid the same day via PayPal.  On September 29th, I got an e-mail back confirming that they'll be making it with a silicone tube like I requested.  It's now well past the 4 weeks they said it would take (I figured I should've gotten it around October 9th, or at least gotten a shipping confirmation by then).  Judging by everyone else's experiences, it can't be just the silicone tube that's holding things up...

Depends on what you ordered.

If you're looking for the cheapy packy, order one from Early2Bed; they come very quickly and it never hurts to have a spare!  If you ordered a Mango, it will be worth the wait (IMO, anyway).

If you're impatient and have an extra $12 try Early2Bed for the packy.  Google coupons for it; they usually have a code you can put in to get a discount.

You can have the STP's made with either a latex or a silicone tube.  There's no option for the silicone on the website, you've just gotta send them an e-mail as soon as you place the order (give your name and the order #) requesting it.  I don't have latex allergies, but I do know enough about latex to know that sooner or later it's gonna swell (I believe sneakersjay also had this problem).  I could just keep replacing the tubing but *shrug* figured this would be easier.  I just hope that the silicone is flexible enough that it doesn't give me a permanent semi  :o

I ordered the cheapo pants stuffer, nothing fancy. My PayPal payment went through on September 5. That puts it at six and a half weeks, well beyond the four weeks stated.

I'll give them another day or two, but I'm not going to pay this credit card charge if I don't have the merch in hand--or at least a response to my e-mails--by then.

Yes, it does swell after a month or so.  I bought replacement latex tubing at Home Depot which is a bit narrower than the tubing Mango uses but was like $5 (maybe more, can't remember) for like 10 feet of it.  Last time I was in Home  Depot they had silicone tubing as well; I may dismantle my mango and bring the cup next time I go to Home Depot and see if they have tubing that will fit.

The latex swelling means several things: You will need to pull it out the tip and cut it a bit shorter periodically.  The width of the original tubing gets fairly wide, making the shaft wider.  What that does is then make a hollow sound when playing with it.  I personally have texture/sound issues with regards to my spare replacement parts, so the noise of that hollow tube bugged me.  May not be an issue for other guys.  I'm weird.   ::)

I have a Lola Jake and the thing that bugs me most isn't the color but the texture and the fact that it's hollow and just feels so wrong to my hands.

It comes with an insertable rod.  They don't always stay in and then this hard rod hits you in a sensitive spot.  For packing it's HUGE.  Even without the rod.

Personally if I had to order one I'd just get it solid without the rod and forget packing with it.  I got the Sam Plus with the 3-D balls and the balls are HUGE also.  Waaaaaayyyyyyy too much to pack IMO.

I didn't realise that Early2bed offered pack and plays.. anyone got a one of these. As I brought the cyberskin cock from mango and apparently it is MASSIVE! (which by the way is the product I am still waiting for)

You can buy cyberskin products elsewhere faster.  BTDT.

I had a cyberskin cock from Mango and it didn't suit my needs (personal preference with regards to size -- it was one thing if I were pretending it belonged to someone else, but if it were MINE -- too big).

I'm probably weird, but it's like my mind knows how big my cock would have been if I had one, and nothing else will do but the right size.  And no, it's NOT 8 inches!!  LOL

Haha if that's the case I'm weirder, cause I was trying to come up with ways to make money for my surgery....and after I thought "donate eggs" (which won't work for me cause I have a chronic disease) I thought "ooo ooo ooo!! I can donate my sperm :D" and it took a couple of seconds before it hit me....."oh."

Except that 'donating' eggs (not really, you're selling them, but...) is far more lucrative then sperm.  It's a difficult process to get the eggs, and most guys will be happy to pump out all the sperm you want - for free.

Cyberskin is good, one thing when it comes to the play part more lube is needed.

Well, I was waiting till the last possible minute to cancel the charge on my credit card. I was going to make the call tomorrow morning. But tonight I got a tracking notice from PayPal. Apparently, the packer is shipping in the morning.

Only took them eight weeks. Sheesh.

I finally got my product!!! I only took 6 days from the US to the UK. As there was a date on it saying when it was posted!!! Cant believe it took that long to get it though.... but I am very happy with it! Would prefer a new harness though as its rubbish.. but the dick itself is great! Haven't used it for sex yet though, as I have no one :(

But will update when I do! ;)
