Washington State University Police believe two recently reported assaults on the WSU campus may be related.
The most recent assault occurred late Monday in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education parking garage. WSU Police Lt. Steve Hansen said a 20-year-old student reported being grabbed, pushed and kicked by a 6-foot-tall white male.
The man was allegedly yelling slurs against members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. Hansen said police believe the attack was motivated by the student's involvement in the GLBT community.
