Title: So, when my spouse and I were talking to the doctor....
Post by: Sarah on October 26, 2008, 10:26:00 PM
for intersexed things, one of the things that came up was the subject of surgery, and what sounds like a recomendation...
Our doc seemed to think Marci Bowers would be a good choice, and I have heard some things about her, almost all good.
Ive also heard of a doc in quebec that is also good.

Of course, a lot of this is a mute point, because we don't have the money.

and if we did, we would sure as hell not spend it on that when we have so much school debt to pay off!
We are basically broke, and what money we have is going to basic needs like food, housing, bills, meds, and transportation.

it would be nice to not have to worry about things, medically, but we don't have the money.

we probably won't for a few years at least.

He (the doc) reccomended a consultation with Dr. Bowers, and we will definitely look into that, but I wonder what the point is considering we don't even have our degree's yet, and debt, is not an acceptable long term plan for us.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Maybe they (Dr. Bowers or others) have payment plans or other such options?

I don't know about payment plans but Capital One has a loan program for healthcare.  You might look into that route, I plan on it once I get some other things taken care of.  And I have decided that I want to be a Bower's girl, too.

Not only is she one of the best, but she is one of us and know what we need and want better than anyone.  She is liked of been there, done that.
