The city of Doraville appears set to become the third municipality in Georgia to extend its employee non-discrimination policy to include gender identity. The City Council is expected to vote on the measure at its Nov. 3 meeting. "I just think this is something we need to do," Doraville Mayor Pro Tem Bob Roche said during the City Council's Oct. 27 work session.
"If we are going to be a city of diversity we should be a city that doesn't discriminate. I plan to bring up that motion at the next meeting and hopefully we'll have enough support to get it passed."
