Here are CNN stats on ballot initiatives.
It looks pretty grim on the marriage amendment front in Arizona and Florida, and California (it's early there as the conservative counties reported early; keep fingers crossed). Autumn will have a full report soon. Some questions:
* Were these results inevitable? In Arizona, the language was crafted to affect only same-sex couples, so what can we gather from this outcome -- that a good number of straight people cannot be moved to respect fairness under the law if they aren't affected?
* Was it about being outspent? Outnumbered on the ground?
