Title: Camcorder Recommendations

I'm looking for a realiable, but inexpensive, digital camcorder.
I've poked around on craigslist, and seems there are many in the $100 to $200 range. It'll be a while before I can afford that, though.
I've got a Polaroid i737 digital camera that has a movie function, but it's really choppy; the sound and picture don't sync up during play back. Sucks.
Are there models that you, my fellow boardmates, would recommend?
For those of you in the SF Bay Area, do any of you know if there are places where such things could be rented? I haven't been able to find any, which doesn't surprise me, really.

I checked a couple of places that rent gear, but its all pro stuff, and renting it would cost more than what your looking to spend to buy it.

Thanks for checking, though.
