Title: There's a fundie in my house.

My :icon_censored: sister-in-law is in town for my wife's ordination tomorrow. Since she can't afford a motel, she's staying with us.
Ye gods, what's a Pagan to do?
So far, she hasn't spouted any filth. But she sets my teeth on edge and makes my skin crawl. And, she'll be here through Sunday, I think.
She's not welcome in my home. But, she is welcome in my wife's home. Trouble is, we share a home.

Yes, that can be a problem.
Anyway, good luck with it.

Fight fire with fire. If she has something to say, hex her.
Seriously though, it's not an easy position, and I totally understand, so hugs. All I can suggest is that, if she does have something to say, ignore her, and if that isn't an option, rip her little argument to shreds - I've known you on forum for long enough to know you are more than knowledgeable and capable of doing that.
Blessed Be and good luck Shades,
~Simone.

Good luck Shades! If she starts spouting fundie beliefs, you could always just do a little ceremony, facing 4 directions, etc. >:-)

Shades,
Do the old leave spell. where she is sitting, go into the room behide her and lean a broom against the wall. Works ever time I have used it and make sure it is a broom with the natural stuff. No plastic.
Blessed Be.

Some Pagan I am; we only have plastic brooms.
But, I now have proof that the gods exist and are merciful. The fundie is leaving today, not tomorrow.

First thing I thought when I saw the title is, "isn't there a spray for that?"

And yes, you do have to get some real wood and straw brooms. For one thing, they get much better mileage in flight

in japan, if you want an unwelcome houseguest to leave, you set their shoes on fire.
LOL, does one do this while they're still wearing their shoes?

*relieved sigh*
She's gone, and she behaved herself the whole time ... even the woman zen priest offered a reading at my wife's ordination. In fact, nearly all of the ministers presiding at the ordination were women and my fundie SIL behaved herself the whole time.
It wasn't fun, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
