I like most fish. I once cooked my own octopus pie with fresh octopus. You'd be surprised how few people wanted to try some.

I, too, like most fish and shellfish. Although, I thought oysters were a bit nasty and octopus was a bit chewy.

As for fish, I like both freshwater and saltwater fish, but I prefer saltwater.

I thought they were white and chalky and loved by budgies. Oh, and octopus is not chewy if you get the right split second timing. They are soft and your teeth slide through them.

Salmon is my favorite  ;D

I'm unfortunately allergic to shellfish, so can't eat shrimp, lobster, etc.  :( They aren't kosher anyway, so it's  a double whammy.

My son is a bit odd about cephalapods. He'll eat squid willingly and eagerly. But, he feels that the serving and/or eating of octopi and cuttlefish is damn-near blashphemy.

No wonder he's such a big Cthulhu fan.

Sashimi - most kinds. Specaily if you mix a whole bunch of wasabi in some soy and use that as your dipping sauce. mmmm.

I'm particulalry partial to capers right now, baked salmon with capers is yum.

I used to have a bunch of goldfish. One of them had a busted swim bladder and sat on the bottom looking really sad. I decided to Euthanise him by putting him in a container of water and freezing him. 8 hours later I peaked in and saw the tough little bugger was still alive swimming in a block of ice in an area only about his size. I felt sorry for him and broke him out. He is still alive 2 years later, sitting on the bottom of the tank. That fish sure is a survivor. I call him skeletor!  :D I read latter the better way to euthanise him would be to put him on a wet paper towel in the freezer...

I like looking at perch and salmon.

I like eating salmon, swordfish, tuna, bluefish, and catfish.

I like shrimp for eating and looks, but had to stop eating them because my lips started feeling a little bloated and itchy when I eat them. I liked eating the JUMBO ones.

No hot, or luke warm sauces allowed.

That's the problem with fish....they all taste like fish. Though a good Tuna steak can be pretty meaty. Interestingly I find fresh raw fish tastes less fishy than if you cook it.

There is this great Samoan dish where you marinade raw fish in lemon or lime juice (which 'cooks' it), and you then mix it with onions and coconut cream. Yummy but very rich.

Anyone in for eel? I like a good bit of smoked eel. Used to go eeling a lot as a kid.

One of my coolest and most useless eel spears was one I made from a sharpened silver dinner fork tied to the end of a stick. I figured there were so many little eels about, spaghetti eels I called them, I might as well get me some. The silver was a bonus, in case of wereeels. You never know  :embarrassed:

Rock Cod perhaps?
Now that was a wretched pun. You should be both ashamed and proud of yourself.

If you'd have been a bit quicker with that offer, I wouldn't of had to spend yesterday trying to imagine how much more time I have on this planet.

I figure about 30 years left to me.  Gotta make them good years.

I am easily distracted. Must be the ADD.

Among other places, I was in Grand Rapids, eating smoked Lake Michigan whitefish--which is a particularly yummy way to eat fish--too bad someone had to die for me to have the opportunity; she would have enjoyed the fish and the whiskey.

No wonder Nero has decided we are not mild-mannered. We are a collection of weirdos who go around blowing up innocent fishies, rejoicing at the enslavement of other people, and hating vegetables so much, we make a point of eating them. Some of us carry a chain saw and know how to use it. Then, we complain that others don't accept us and that we don't have hot jobs and warm quarters.

Are unicorns whining, passionate bigots? No wonder we are revolting.

666 is the number of the beast.  665 is the guy who lives across the street from the beast.

655 is just a few doors down and is the one who keeps calling the cops about the loud parties  :D

Back before caller ID, I would go to really boring parties and call the police on them just because having the cops show up and look all puzzled was pretty much the high point.

And this is post 6666 for me, more evil than the Prince of Darkness, at least, after dark.

Acutally, I heard that the number was mistranslated and it's really 616, which was the store number of the store I worked at and seems quite appropriate.  >:-)

I wasn't sure if you meant what type of fish as a pet, or what type of fish you like to eat.

I'm a vegetarian but I love most fish. I love coy fish and black moores have loads of personality.
Dolphins aren't fish, but I adore them.

You lay it on a table with a soft blanket beneath it and then you gently spread it's fronds and sprinkle the powder.

I like shrimp, but I'm afraid that in the future sea food will be poisoned due to pollution, so I like chicken better.

Are you still making Ocky pies Pica.  They sound pretty good actually,  Curried Scallop pies are a big hit here in Tasmania.
Actually I like fish full stop.  Watching them, catching them, eating them, and studying them in Biology.  Cephalopods and crustaceans are nice too.

Do they have scallops  in scallop pies?

Seems a stupid question but you can buy a scallop pie for $2 and you cant buy a scallop for that.

Cindy if you can find a pie for $2 you are doing well.
About $8 for a Scallop one, and you have to go to the north coast, because there are no scallops around Hobart at the moment.  They tried to conserve them and banned fishing in a lot of areas around here a couple of years ago.   ::)

No matter, they are worth it.  Zeps in Campbelltown also do a Chicken and Camembert when Scallops are not on.

Ocky Pie started in the financial district of New York City and then spread to several cities around the world.  Unfortunately (see what I did there?) it hasn't had that much effect.
