I don't think its age. I still love the 3 Stooges (but only the Curly ones) and all that Charlie Chaplin stuff, and the entire range of Commedia dell'Arte that depends a lot on pratfalls and all that silly physical comedy stuff.

It's probably that the reference doesn't mean much to you, so the humour is lost. "Falcon Punch" is a move by Captain Falcon on Super Smash Brothers (a game with iterations on the GameCube and the Wii) and when someone plays him, since it's a pretty powerful move and it sends players hurtling across the screen, you hear "FALCON PUNCH!" all the time as people spam it (repeat it) like crazy.
Yay for The Three Stooges btw ;)

Oh, how I LOVE the Falcon Punch.
What I don't love is being the only person in my entire class who knows about it. >:( Sometimes it slips out randomly and people go all "A-wAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaahhhhht?!"
