I am compiling a list of plastic surgeons that don't require seeing a therapist, psychiatrist, etc. before a male can have (female) breast implants :icon_help: So far, I have found one in Texas (Dr. Yarish). Does anyone have surgeons that fit this criteria I can add to my list?
Thanks,
M

The SOC requires it, though I don't know how many plastic surgeons would even know what the SOC is.

Since this is "Crossdresser talk", wouldn't having implants be counterproductive and eliminate the "crossdressing" aspect?
AFAIK you don't need to have any kind of letter to get implants anywhere, by the way.

I would think its just 'elective plastic' and not requiring anything more than an informed consent deal signed.

Most of you are all mistaken. The majority of plastic surgeons will NOT do breast implants on a genetic male, and most of the ones that do, require the letter(s) from the therapist or psychiatrist.
I know, because I have contacted numerous plastic surgeons all across the U.S.

I'm still thinking try LA. I know a few people who have had it done, don't know by who, but I do know were, the City of Angels, where almost anything is possible if you can write the check for it.

Then I'd say that they're just begging for a discrimination suit. If implants are elective surgery for females, then sexual discrimination laws should require it to be elective for males too.

Megan, there is no legal requirement that a letter of mental status be provided for a plastic surgeon performing the surgery you wish to have.
However, there is also no legal requirement that the surgeon do such an operation from you without following his or her own guidelines. I would imagine most would see the request as prime facie eveidence of a mental problem in the requestor.
However, as tekla said LA, maybe NYC, or one of the larger metro areas in USA not in Texas or the Midwest or Southeast states. I'd try LA.
