Title: iPhone ecstasy

A week ago I sold my soul to AT&T for an iPhone. Best bargain I ever made!
Does anyone else have one of these life-changing gadgets? If so, are any of you into jailbreaking or otherwise hacking these things? Any suggestions for skins/wallpaper/etc?
I get such a thrill when it reminds me to take my estradiol...

I've got 8 pages of apps already. I'll try writing one of my own in the next week or so.
Pandora, Last.fm, Amazon Mobile, and Facebook are the bee's knees.
EDIT: I just set up my Google Reader with the RSS for Susan's Announcements and some of the other boards - Reader works very well on the iPhone, so I can track stuff here anytime now.

They are pretty much replacing laptops where I work for lighting and sound work.

I want an iPhone, but can't upgrade my cell contract till April :( In the meantime I'm stuck with this unintuitive, clunky, Palm Treo that I bought before I realized that Palm had replaced its elegant, simple interface with Windows.
I need my PDA to synch with Outlook 2003 on Vista. It looks, from what I've read on the net, like some people have had trouble with synching. Anyone know if that's common or just isolated weird computer glitches?

All the people I know seem to have no problem, but.... they are running Apple systems and laptops, not Windows.

I love my iPhone! It may not have everything some of the other phones have, but it has everything I need it to do, and in a more stable and stylish environment.

I just use Safari on mine and it reads Susan's no problem.

The first free game I got was Cube Runner. It's a pretty basic game, but oh so addicting! The only other game I have purchased is Cro-Mag which is insanely fun driving it with the phone tilt. Other than games, I love the Google app, the MySpace app, the radio apps like AOL Radio and FlyCast, oh and Midomi comes in handy when I need to find the name of a song by recording it. I just love it all!
Me + iPhone = Love :)

Someone at work has one with Midomi and its 0-15 on guessing what songs we play to it. Its got to be popular schlock or Midomi is going to miss it. At least for now, I assume they are continuing to load stuff onto the mainframe.

now i know you all have them I can mug you. I've seen how easy it is, much easier than working for one, even easier than shoplifting, I just get some tall threatening friends, wait for you to be alone and wave a knife at you... from now on I'll do all my gadget shopping like that.

I downloaded a free app called Clickonradio. So far it works great. From any location you can see what radio stations are nearby, and what they play. Tap one and it gives you their current song, along with their recent play list, and links to download that song if you like it, along with lyrics if you wanna see them, and the link to the song on youtube. It's great when traveling, especially considering it's free.

Pandora seems to be a popular app too.
And don't be too bummed out there D, I ain't got one either. Hell, my phone does not even take pictures. However it will fully charge for 4 days in under an hour, you can shower with it because it's waterproof, and I've dropped it from 20 feet in the air and it didn't even scratch.

Despite how terrifying it must have been for Pica, most Americans are thinking "Robbed with a knife? How quaint." I mean get with the 18th Century here and at least use a gun.

I don't know quite what I thought when I saw the topic title. Iphones with pictures of smiley faces and bunnies on? Surely not.
I haven't had an Iphone for 18 years and I don't see how it would raise my quality of life.
Don't have one, don't want one.
Enjoy yours though, folks.

Well the games and such I don't get, but for people who do business on the move, its a great tool. And like I said there are all sorts of lighting and sound apps for it, and I'm sure similar stuff for other professions too.

Many 32 bit applications are not compatible with the 64 bit Vista.

You should check out WunderRadio - it lets you do all of that (except the lyrics) and LISTEN to the radio as well. Any affiliated radio station from anywhere in the world.

Yeah, the Outlook works fine on Vista though. It's just the synching with the PDA I was concerned about. My Palm Treo caused me no end of headaches when I got my new (Vista) comp.

Haven't had much trouble with Vista itself, but it's been a nightmare getting it to work with other software and I am so not upgrading all of my software. I don't know why they just don't improve the OS they had instead of coming out with all new crap all the time.
