Sense of humour, empathy, stuff in common with me, trustworthyness, intelligence.
Though intelligence isn't strictly neccessary. I just find it helps.
I don't look for any particular appearance, once I'm attracted to someone due to the above, their appearance grows on me.

I personally do not care about money. I think that any person who has that on his/her "desirable traits checklist" should consider getting a job instead of trying to find someone to leech off of. I do, however, like and fall in love with guys who are genuine, hard-working, good looking, caring, ambitious, honest, smart, funny, clean, independent, loving, passionate; guys who take me to the stars/heaven and treat me like a princess!
;)
As far as types are concerned:

My type? *giggles* I like guys with well-toned bodies, athletic. I am very much attracted to guys from Mediterranean heritage, Spanish, Italian, Greek, etc. I prefer guys with black or dark-brown hair and whose skin is darker than mine. If I had to choose among a white, an Asian, an African-American and a Latin guy, I would choose the Latin guy in a milli second; they are just very sexy and extremely passionate.....

I like a guy who:
Edit: Adds "Nonsmoker" to the top of the list. - But then, I guess that goes along with "doesn't stink".
And it helps if he's really cute. ;)
- Appreciates my sense of humor
- Is kind and thoughtful.
- Is intelligent and witty.
- Has a nice smile
- Is honest but tactful.
- Smells nice. (Or at least, doesn't stink.)
- Is reliable and trustworthy

If I were looking for a man it would be someone who could make me feel like a woman, loved, secure in his arms, good sense of humour, empathy but not empathic, like minds in thoughts and feelings, trustworthy, intelligent, yes definitely intelligent, like in smarts, knows things. We can just ask them to take us for a tour of the universe in our interdimensional think drive star ship Tink. ;)

How about the bi's?
Make me feel like a woman, not be ridiculously overweight, and keep my mind engaged.
Simple ;D
Anything else is pretty negotiable.
Money... not really a big deal. If he has it great, if not, I would certainly not hold it against him.

Other than money?
A pulse?
hehe nah, I want a strong man, who is sensative, but not afraid to be asertive, and dominant. Im a quite vivacious girl in most of life, but in the bedroom and romance wise, i want to feel protected, dominated, and made to feel like a lady...
Not including Hot bod, chocolate covered penis, and white wine sperm.

Someone who's a Gaming, nerdy, creative type who can provide a decent challenge and sometimes beat me at video games :P
Liking anime and comic books would be nice
Bonus if he's good on guitar
Looks wise, I like the emo look, piercings, funky hair, skinny jeans

Exotic, very honest, talkative, kind and decent looking, not overweight, very secure and not critical. He's got to be 6 feet or taller, muscular but not body builder muscular just muscular & a good lover. Generous and capable of providing. Practical but adventuresome also.

There are actually many things I look for:
1. good looking meaning little body hair, no facial hair, no baldness, in shape - not fat or thin, not muscle bound - masculine looking. showers daily or more if necessary, uses deodorant, no cheap perfume, no musk.
2. no bad habits such as smoking, drinking, drugs, gambling, womanizing or cursing.
3. in college (or employed). A young man isn't expected to have money, only ambition and motivation. Mid life and older men should have accumulated a home and saved money for their future.
4. owns his own car
5. keeps himself and his possessions clean and neat
6. not religious
7. enjoys a variety of hobbies including some active sports, not a TV addict
8. likes sex a lot and wants it every day or more
9. Wears men's clothes not women's (I want to be the only woman in the relationship)
10. helps keep where he lives clean whether he lives at home or on his own. Isn't looking for a girlfriend to be his maid or his mummy.
11. intelligent...likes to read books!!! Is computer literate
No need to keep looking. My Bf is all that but I'm just saying.

Well i am a lesbian but after 10 yrs being single i would accept a man who would help me with my horse and buggy to travel to the mountains and start a settlement in a wilderness area. We would spend a summer working on getting a cave / lientoo set up with lots of firewood and stored herbs and taters and lots of hay for my / our horse and we would be all nestled down and ready for a cold winter because as the yrs go by the earth is getting father away from the sun in winter and closer to the sun in summer so he would know we need to be prepared for colder winters and we would dig into a mountainside for a cave like home for summers which under the earth 3 ft yr round the earth is 56 degrees so we wouldn't sweat to bad in april when the sun is the closest to the earth. We would then have a nice life in the wilderness and befriend the wild animals and eventually get close and by the second winter he would prove himself to me that he is a real man / survivor and well who knows what might happen that second winter :)

Hi Postoplesbian I use to dream of living out in the wilderness and in a sense i did for a time while living on the road. But I believe I am getting a little to old for that anymore.
But I wouldn't mind living in a house out in the country, that is one possibility that my beloved and I are looking into for the later part of this coming summer or fall. Either in the foothills of the mountains or near the ocean.
There are some really nice colonial like places, like still living the old colonial way that were built by the Hippies on the east end of Tennessee that you might like. I would love to move there myself if they ever recognized us as a married couple in the state of Tennessee.

Yes that is a beautiful area. I use to live in the Morristown area and worked out of Knoxville, Clinch mountain, Roan mountain just to the east then cross into northern NC in the Asheville area, Lot's of forest and mountauns. There is an entire settlement there that is still owned by the Hippies.
The climate on the mountains is about the same as you would find in central Ontario, nice and cool in the summer and down in the valleys it's mild most of the winter, get a dumping of snow and a couple days later you get a mild wind and sun and it all melts away. A lot like the Chinook winds in the fountains here. Wonderful people there too, I was there a couple of years ago and the personality of the folks there hasn't changed.
All around Vancouver here and on Vancouver Island is mostly virgin rain forest. About 30 miles drive from here.

Postoplesbian and Cindybc,
Little House on the Prairie was a dream I had for a long time. Had some property in Seligman, AZ. About two acres next to government land. Had plans for mineral rights on the Gov. land and get up to 40 acres. But my ex won't stop drinking, long enough. And I had to drive 100 miles one way in winter, to go to work.

I love the idea of living in the country and there is a lot of that in the mountains in Tennessee but as Wing Walker reminded me. I would probably get terminal cabin fever there unless I could find something useful to do. In the past twenty two years I've been so used to working with and being around people that i probably get bored. I wonder f they need a slightly aging Hippy lady there for anything. ;D

I had 200 acres in western Virginia and built a 4 story cabin with 2 floors underground for food stroage and two above which was a large A -frame, but then she left me after 20 days because she said your not masculine!!!! I had met her through mother earth news. I transitioned within 2 months time. I knew i had tried to be a man and well it wasn't gonna happen but you can't take the ->-bleeped-<-ree out of this dyke

Yeah most of the young guys here would have nothing to do with us older gals. And all the young gals are after Nero. Oh to be 30 years younger. Heck, I would settle for 20. ;)

Extensive spider killing expertise and strong hands for opening jars and bottles. That's not even a joke, I've slept on the couch for nights upon nights after finding a spider in my room. They work in teams!! :o And I've had plenty of jars and bottles full of delicious syrupy yumyum that I couldn't get into until I could get a guy around to show them who's boss.
Adventurous taste buds too. I am not cooking freaking steak every night!
Oh and an animal lover. Plus marriage and babies eventually but I know now you never EVER tell them that. ;)
