HI Everyone
I am back with another question...recently my boyfriend and I have been disucssing some more social settings that he is becoming acclimated to more and more male surrounded activities such as using the men's restroom..this is something that is bio males is taught young he is very nervous however, we are soon purchasing a STP Device so the issue of "standing" vs "sitting" will be over with...but he has been very down about himself lately..he doesn't think that he is worth spending the money on to continue his transition because of the issues he is having..People using wrong pronouns....he is currently laid off and is incapable of finding work because of his "half & half" situation..he has been on T for almost a year now and his voice has deepend, he has facial hair, and his body has started to become more structured and boxy instead of a womanly type figure..so I dont know if this is just a phase that he is going through because times are tough or if it is part of his transition anyone who can shed some light on this issue would be greatly appreciated...thank you

I am a MTF but I know there are times especially in times of struggle or high stress that I go through these phases and during that I feel as though all of the problems my partner and I have are in some way due to me being who I am and that my transition is somehow to blame. I don't know if this may be what your boyfriend is feeling but it may be something close. wish I could be of more help

Of course he's worth spending the money on.. reassure him of that. :) I'd think almost anyone experiences problems passing at some point, but that doesn't make them less 'worthy' of transition.. he might just be stressed out about finances and upset he's still getting female pronouns. Which are very valid things to be upset over, but he shouldn't let them determine his worth as a person. I suppose just keep gently reassuring him that it will turn out okay, that this is just a phase and soon enough everyone he sees won't think of calling him anything other than "sir." :) And that the money spent on transition is well worth it if it makes him happier and more comfortable in himself. :)
