I just got back from my first Endo appointment, i had been self medicating for 9 months and expected a lecture but none came, seems like he typed on the computer for ages asking all kinds of questions, he also did a physical exam and noted that my spleen was enlarged, but that's all that was said about it. He went over what i was taking and everything was ok except i was taking too much gel, he went over what hrt can and can't do and because i have some breast development showed me how to do a self breast exam. He scheduled a bunch of labs and i added to that T & E levels, he said i really didn't need those but i wanted them done, i also had him schedule a Karyotype test just for my own peace of mind, it's not going to change who i am but at least I'll know. I left the office with 3 prescriptions and another appointment 6 months from now, unfortunately my local Walmart was out of most of the scripts but will have them tomorrow afternoon.
I feels good to be under a Doctor's care and officially under way.

Strange how everything seems to run better after getting the main dealer to check "under the hood" and do an oil change! ;D
I'm pleased it went well for you Paula.

Alright Paula. It is always great to have a doctor watch over things. And the Karyotype test would be interesting.
You have now take yet another step to freedom.

Thanks Chrissty and Janet, i have no expectations that the Karyotype will show anything other than i was born male. I was born in 1952 and lots of mothers between 1940's and 1960's were given DES to prevent Miscarriages and one of the things they found it could cause transgender issues. I have no way of checking if my mother was given this due to some difficult issues and her being deceased. And neither of these things are going to change who i am. Yes finally seeing a doctor who has treated 200 or so of us over 20 years is very reassuring.
