Title: Dr. Greechart Pornsinsirirak at Yanhee Hospital

I was wondering if anyone has had surgery at Yanhee Hospital with Dr. Greechart. I have seen the results of one of his patients (R.I.P. Tecca) and they were very good. I have also spoken with Candi Stratton in person, who did not have SRS with him but was able to observe surgery during the brief period that she was a spokesperson for Yanhee hospital.
I currently have enough money for surgery with him, and only lack a therapist's letter, which I assumed I wouldn't need as I have lived full time for almost four years. Still waiting to hear back from my old therapist about whether or not she will be able to write one.
If she can't, do you think I could go to a new therapist and simply have my records released to her so that she can write the letter.

I just wanted to update everyone on the board that I have scheduled surgery with Dr. Greechart at Yanhee. I was able to connect with several girls who had been to him on the SRS in Thailand Group on Yahoo!. I had to really search around to find some of his patients, as he doesn't have a strong presence on the internet. However, Yanhee is known to be a first-rate hospital committed to providing affordable health care for both Thai and international patients.
I leave for Thailand on June 16, 2009 (3 weeks away) and have surgery on June 18. The normal price is $6500 for SRS which includes a 2 week stay in the hospital. I received a 10% discount for scheduling and paying before May 31. The price may seem shockingly low, but after seeing his results in person, and talking to several very satisfied customers, I have absolutely no reservations. I have repeatedly heard that the level of care was excellent and the results are great.
I will be posting videos from Yanhee on Facebook (or youtube, haven't decided how much exposure I want). If you are on facebook and would like to add me as a friend please write me and I will tell you how to find me.
I will definitely post updates here so that that others might also be able to consider Dr. Greechart for their SRS.

Having done some research into Medical Tourism, I have decided that I am going to Dr. G myself. I figure that I will need about $15,000 all told. Including 2 months living expensive.
That is cheaper than any one else, and it seems that he is a leader in SRS in Thailand.

It is $6500 before the discount. I do not know if they will be having more specials. The price is great even without the discount.
You have to send a physical with specific labs, an EKG, and chest x-ray along with a therapist's letter (which I had no problem getting in the end) before they will schedule surgery. You have to have the surgery within three months of the physical, but there isn't ever a problem scheduling that soon.
I'd be happy to give anyone more details, but you can also contact carmen@yanhee.net .. She usually responds very quickly.

Also, I wouldn't book the surgery with a third party or medical tourism company. You could only get the discount if you scheduled directly with Yanhee. It's so easy to correspond with Carmen that you might as well DIY.

Hey all . . . I'm writing to say that all has gone well at Yanhee. I'm still
here, returning home in two days. I cannot speak too highly of the staff and
level of care I received here. It was EXCELLENT. The best thing about it, is
that the 14 day hospital stay is INCLUDED in the package, and to top things off, the price is still cheaper than any of the other SRS surgeons at $6500.
I had minimal swelling (according to the nurses) and can easily see that all the structures are present, the depth is great (a little over six inches).
The only advice I would give is that Dr. Greechart requires 7 days bedrest and a liquid diet following surgery. The soup can get a little monontonous and
unpalatable after a couple of days. I wish I had packed boullion cubes in my
suitcase, or had someone with me who could run out for popsicles or other liquid sustenance. I came alone but with the entire series of Sex and the City on DVD and managed to survive.
I think anyone should consider Dr. Greechart and Yanhee Hospital, not only
because of the price, but because he really is an excellent surgeon who up to
this point mainly treats Asians and Europeans, and you can't beat 14 days of
nursing care.
I think more than anything, I just want other transitioners like me (young,
strapped for cash, still in school) to know that there is an excellent option
available. I think initially when I first heard of the price being that low I
had reservations. But after talking with several people who had been there I
realize there were really no compromises. After going through the process
myself, I can also vouch for the the excellent quality and level of care that I
received.
Yanhee is making improvements as we speak. They are building a new addition
onto the hospital, and are trying to raise their profile in Asia and
internationally.I was told before I went that the president of Yanhee is
committed to making the services affordable and high quality primarily for Thai
people but also for the rest of Asia and the world. You immediately realize
when you get there that this is a BUSY hospital, and unlike other hospitals
frequented by "farang", the people of Asia, and Thailand can also afford the
services.
There is a video on youtube where the president of Yanhee mentions treating Thai
patients who went to quack Thai surgeons who used liquid filled condoms as
breast implants, among other horrific examples. This is why services at Yanhee
will always be affordable. I can tell you that there is absolutely NO
COMPROMISE on quality. There is no reason to blink an eye at the price. You
really do get 14 days of EXCELLENT nursing care IN THE HOSPITAL. This is
included in the package.
I have learned over my years of friendship and correspondence with girls in the
community who have gone to every single doctor in Thailand that every one of the big name doctors who treat "farang" is competent and will give you a functional and sensate result. I have seen beautiful and ugly results from just about every surgeon there. I just would like to add Dr Greechart to the list of
consideration, especially for those who, like me started to see their dreams of
SRS fade as the demand rises. Rest assured that you are not making any
sacrifices. I'm sure the price will go up some, but Yanhee will always be
committed to making it affordable, and deliver excellent care.
P.S. -- I do want to add that even at 15 days post op, both my mother and sister were amazed at the natural and "real" appearance of my vagina. (Real was the word they used to describe how it looks.) In the end, that's all that matters. (It's looking even better now.)

The only thing that I worry about is the 20-25 hour flight to return home. I have read and heard of problems being in the air that long.
But I am still thinking highly of going to Dr. Greechart. When I can raise the monies.

It is uncomfortable, but of course hundreds do it every year. Just be sure to take pain medicine, and dilate AS SOON AS you get back. It was painful to dilate that first time after I got back, but I dealt with it.

Janet -
Due to delays I ended up being on the move for 27 hours on my return flights home. It was a little painful to dilate afterward but all I did was use my smallest dilator to open things up a bit and then changed out every 10 minutes to the next size up until hitting my then maximum. I did not lose any depth but the dilation was a bit uncomfortable for a few days.

I want to ask, what are the requirements for Greechart technique? Does he require genital electrolysis? Its a one stage surgery (meaning no need for labiaplasty)?
And where can I see some results?

In case anyone is skeptical, it took me two years to decide to go to Dr. Greechart. I found out about him while I was in Mexico having breast augmentation. The price initially made me skeptical but I could not get the results out of my mind. I had set my heart on Chettawut and I wasn't budging. But Chet's prices went up, and I started to think seriously about Yanhee.
I don't think I can overstate how good my results are looking, as it has now been five weeks, and the elation of completion is finally hitting me. For the excellent round the clock care, asthetics, sensation, and depth I don't think I could have made a better decision, the price is the bonus, and need not be the deciding factor. However, that is exactly what made my dream a reality.

yanhee is a plastic surgery hospital. i didnt went with the dr because yanhee feel like a market and indeed local dun take the hospital seriously other than affordable cosmetic surgery and junior plastic surgeons. i stay in bkk for 3 mths before deciding on who is my surgeon. dr greechart use the old technique which is penile inversion which is why it is cheap. dr chettawut, sanguan, suporn uses the non inversion scrotal technique which gives better functional, aesthetic results with less possibilities of a secondary srs that the old technique require. after seeing a few local surgeon i went with dr peera from thaitsclinic because of the package deal which is exp but i am pleased with the ffs and srs results.
penile inversion gives a sensate clitoris but the non inversion technique gives you a much more sensate erotic zone. rd from chettawut website: http://www.chet-plasticsurgery.com/Srs_main.html. (http://www.chet-plasticsurgery.com/Srs_main.html.) also read about dr suporn's srs page: http://www.supornclinic.com/restricted/SRS/Results.aspx?fn=presentation.zip (http://www.supornclinic.com/restricted/SRS/Results.aspx?fn=presentation.zip) he is the doctor who invent the new technique - non inversion. it is wat makes dr suporn, dr chettawut special from the other srs surgeons. i had the non inversion srs from dr peera and am glad tat i had very good care at the hospital. www.thaitsclinic.com (http://www.thaitsclinic.com)
2 more days n i am going back home. i will miss thailand!
