Title: Hello from an SO

Hi, I'm Hypatia's girlfriend. :)
I first met her over four years ago, long before she transitioned. We became friends, and I quickly fell in love with her (although we were still just friends). It was a couple of years before she came out to me. I guess I wasn't totally surprised by then. I was surprised to discover that it didn't change my feelings for her. I had never thought of myself as anything other than a typical straight woman--married for 17 years. But in fact, I found myself more in love with her than ever. She was still the same person I'd always known and loved, but it was even better because she was finally being her real self with me.
We were best girlfriends after that and only recently became an official "item." I've never felt this way about anyone before. I've gone from calling myself straight to calling myself a lesbian, but the fact of the matter is that I'm really a Hypatian. ;)

Good to meet you, Starr! Sometimes I think we have the very best kinds of spouses!

Hi Star, :icon_wave:
Welcome to our little family. Over 1800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another SO. :icon_hug:
Hypatia's lucky to have you and you, her.

Hi, Starr! Glad to have you aboard. :) My spouse is in the process of transitioning so we're still taking it one day at a time. It'll be nice to have some more people to talk with (it was getting too quiet over here ;p )
