Title: What look best describes you?
Post by: PolskaPanda on March 12, 2009, 09:14:30 PM
Whether you're MTF or FTM

Right now I'd say that vvv this is the look I'm going for (not the makeup) the only thing keeping me from that at the moment is needing the breast-removal surgery (because even when I bind, since I have large breasts... damn it... they still poof up enough to be at least noticeable-ish)

http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu112/Lilith222/12206464.jpg (http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu112/Lilith222/12206464.jpg)

As far as what I wear right now

http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q19/mDarkPoet/Picture1073.jpg (http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q19/mDarkPoet/Picture1073.jpg)

That's an old picture of me (back when I had the long hair, I finally got it cut, not as short as I want it but I'm making progress)

http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q19/mDarkPoet/Picture1522.jpg (http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q19/mDarkPoet/Picture1522.jpg)
That shows my awesome guitar (had to add it in)

http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q19/mDarkPoet/l_90fea20d6c10fdcc579d9b763a53386d.jpg (http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q19/mDarkPoet/l_90fea20d6c10fdcc579d9b763a53386d.jpg)
And that was back eons ago (before I used to bind and when I was a fan of emo pants, my ways have changed bwaha)

Anyways

YOUR TURN post anything, pics of clothes, pics of you in said clothes, just show your style, who knows, we might influence each other and all look awesome together >.O

Uhh, defining my style is a bit hard, at least for me.

I guess athletic mixed with class and... I don't know, 'bad boy'? Haha.

When I was in high school a lot of people thought I lifted weights or was a swimmer(technically I am) because of the way I presented myself. Well, I did lift weights(should get back into it) and I did have a pool but...

I like baggy pants, usually blue cargos. Black and white tank tops (although I avoid them until I can bind), whites, blues, reds, baggy shirts so I don't sweat buckets. I love shirts that breathe and don't remind me of my chest. Hoodies are my friends, too, but I prefer them with zippers and all.

I would love to wear something like this: http://men.style.com/slideshows/mens/standalone/details/fashion/1107/vests/00005f.jpg (http://men.style.com/slideshows/mens/standalone/details/fashion/1107/vests/00005f.jpg)
I think it suits my personality well.

Lol, did any of that make any sense?

I'm not really sure my "style" can be classified. Anymore, I generally wear army fatigue pants and either a t-shirt or a button-down. I suppose that optimally I would dress somewhere between preppy and goth, but my body just doesn't look right at the moment for either, let alone in between. Right now, my main concern is for comfort.

I live in jeans and tees.  So I guess that is casual.  But I really like being more feminine in my look.  Dresses, skirts, pretty tops or blouses.  It is most likely just an expression of the little girl I never was.

Lovehandles? Dude that's your pelvis! :D I have a pair of pants like that actually... Not nearly that tight though.

As for my look... uhhhhh. Uninteresting? I wear a lot of jeans and tshirts. I looked much more fashionable when I had a job then I wore some nice suits but alas... Perhaps I'll get out a couple of suits and post a few pics.

For now, jeans, t's, and hoodies (aiming for androgynous for the time being).
Eventually it will move to more feminine stuff.

At this moment a flowered shirt, sweat pants and no shoes. I have collection of tropical looking shirts. An Air Force Capt. GG friend decided I needed "Magnum PI" shirts and gave me several. Since, other friends give me those type. Probably because no one else would wear them.

Polska, that guitar photo was amazing! Loved it. :icon_clap:

And emoboi, a) Osiris is right, they're not love handles, and b) they are the best shorts! Do want. ;D

I myself am a great fan of dark blue/grey jeans, T-shirts and hoodies, with either sneakers or boots. I live in that with varying degrees of formality/informality. I'm not binding at the moment, 'cause it's summer (actually, we're 15 days into autumn, but who's counting? ::)) and the binder I'm using is *really* obvious under T-shirts, but the weather's starting to get colder, so I'll start binding again soon. It's why I love hoodies so much, they're so baggy that everything just gets lost. ;D

Alternatively, I live in my jimmies (or PJ pants with whatever shirt and hoodie I've happened to be wearing beforehand :P). Dead sexy. :-* ;D

I have my own style, but I can't really describe it.

Jeans, converse, smartish shirts that have collars or t-shirts, and fitted hoodies/jumpers.
And my long black coat that I will sorely miss wearing when it gets warmer.
Yeah, there are a lot of dark colours involved.

I had a room mate who was a trucker chick. She was native, had but length long hair and she was shorter then me, but no one ever gave her a hard time. Don't know if it was because she was tough or they just had respect for her. :)

Cindy,

There are alot more women out here than
when I first started out. I remember when I was very young,
my Daddy's friend (a fellow trucker) had a daughter,
who he was teaching to be a trucker. She was my hero
(Godess, I haven't thought about this in yeeeaaarrs). They
owned a farm and my Daddy, my brother and I, would
help with hay bailing and such. I was in awe of her, her name
was Wanda, She could drive the tractors, run the
equiptment and toss bails with the best of us, if not, then better
and she seemed to relish it. She wasn't really that much
older than I, maybe by five or seven years. Her younger sister
was kind of the opposite, a VERY girlie girl, she did what
she could or at least had to do. I wanted to be just like Wanda.

Hey Sis, truckers are a tough breed in and of themselves.  You don't have to be a Bad Ass to be tough.  Pushing that rig of your isn't for everyone.  Ok You and me can do it, but some women just are cut out for truckin.

Well I ain't exactly the girly girly type either but I like to be girly, girly when ever I get a chance to do so. Wing Walker is very accommodating that way. I like dressing pretty and going wearing sun dresses during the hot summer weather.

I do so much miss living in the country, even the town I was living in two years ago, a nice apartment that reminded me more of a cottage that an apartment with all the country side around the back of it with a 1/4 acre back yard. I enjoyed doing gardening, in shorts and halter top or sun dress, pushing a lawn mower, picking weeds out of the garden and some of the older gents slowing down on the road to take a better look at my backside.

Well anyway I was raised in the country by a mom who was raised on the farm, a farm girl who got married to a very nice gentleman who worked the lumber camps as the clerk and my mom was chief cook, that was where I was conceived. For me it was the other way around, I was more girly then my sister who was 4 years older then me.

My dad bought this property in southern Ontario where my mom and I operated a tourist resort, 5 cabins, boat rentals, and a store and restaurant combination, just my mom and I, at this time my sister was never at home much, out chasing boys.

When I lived on the res for five years I had me a big veggie garden and my partner and I cut firewood  and did some minor house repairs for a living. I earned a living doing physical work for a good part of my life. When I gots to be achin just a tad to much, I used my head and went back to school and got my diploma for Social worker and that brings us up to date. Now I'm just a retired old bat.  :D Well I'm still putting in two day a week at the women's shelter.

I never drove truck but I did work on farms, shoveling cow paddies pickin fruit in orange and apple groves, actually up in the trees picking fruit with the women, worked at a ranch mending fences, building repairs, grooming horses, painting houses, and working in factories again, side by side with other women. Looking back I think it was rather adventurous, living on the road with my pick up truck and camper like a gypsy.

Now I'm jest one of the gals, missin bein in the country  ;D

C'mon y'all, tell a little about your story, don't be shy.  ;)

OK, just so we're on the same page,
I am "Bad Ass" as I consider Tina Turner
to be "Bad Ass", though I am nowhere
even close to her league.

Well in my teens, during the hippie day with the long hair and unisex clothes and all my best friend was a tom boy who knew how to handle herself pretty good in a street fight. The best part was when she would whup the tar out of some would be bully antagonist.

She was protective of me but we worked the streets pan handling good together. Most people thought we were sisters. Some of the old prudes would drag their boys in the house by the ear, sayin, "don't even think about that trash," when they saw us comin down the street. I thought that label was an honor until Helen told me what it meant. I don't think there was very many nice people in that town, just a bunch of snobs. So I didn't have any qualms in pulling off some mischief with Helen in those neighborhoods after dark.

Na your right, A Tina Turner I was not, still not. I was kind of a quiet mousy kid back then, no one even noticed I was around unless Helen was with me.

I am still pacifistic but I love socialising, more so now then I ever before in my previous life.

"Old Bat", my BUTT. I believe we are kindred spirits.
We may not have been doing the same types of things

but the levels of responsibility and adventure sound similar.
I grew up in the sticks of north eastern Conneticut, in

a town of about seventeen hundred people I started driving
my Daddy's semi, with him, in Oct. of '81, about a month

before my sixteenth birthday, after I had anounced that I was
NOT going back to school because I had taken all of the

abuse that I could stand, from my schoolmates. I wasn't privy
to the conversation, between Mama and him, but I can

imagine his side went something to the tune of, "I'll man him up".
I guess he was successful to the extent that he helped

me lay the foundation for the facade that would be blown to
bits twenty four plus years later. I'm sure he was quite

proud that night, when he paid for me to lose my virtue, to a
"Lot Lizard" in the parking lot of the Paulsboro, N.J.

76 Truckstop, which culminated in the "girl" offering him a hit
off the joint we had been sharing, as he climbed back

into the truck after the deed was done. He declined the offer
and didn't allow me to drive that night. The experience

left me feeling seedy and unfulfilled, to say the least I was
disappointed but I'm sure I won some level of approval

from my Daddy. Other ways that I gained his approval were a
lot less repulsive. I remember when he and I loaded at

Mulleirs Pasta in Jersey City, N.J. for Chicago. He told me to
drive as far as I could then wake him up and he would

take over from there, then he went to bed. I woke him up ten
hours later, in Gary, In., seven hundred and fifty miles

from where he laid down, the national speed limit at the time
was "Double Nickles". I have no idea how I avoided

getting stopped. All I know is I was having a friggin' BLAST,
there were hours at a time that I was doing over eighty.

They say "The Almighty" watches over drunks and idiots.
I wasn't a heavy drinker at the time. ;D

Hi Heatherrose
Quote"The Almighty" watches over drunks and idiots.

Yep I heard my mom use that statement as well on a few occasions.
I didn't start drinking until my late twenties, and didn't I begin drinking alcoholically until after I married the bitch from Hell, well that's another story.

I also quit school after my best friend Helen and her parents left town. She had went and got herself pregnant, and for a time I was the suspect. Believe me or not it was my dad that got me off the hook on that one, yet he was the one that kept trying to encourage me to find a girl to marry up with.

I never felt comfortable, actually I didn't like having sex with girls, I preferred just being friends with them. I was raised by my mom which didn't mean I was pampered either we worked out tails off, but we worked as a team keeping that resort going while my dad worked the lumber camps up north.

Anyway I ran away from home when I was 15 because I didn't want to go back to school and ended up hitchhiking to New York to join the Hippies. I did and I lived in a commune for two years, *in the girls dorm.* Well again that's another story.

As for driving semi, I did on a few occasion with my brother in-law, whom became to be an obnoxious male sheeniest pig who was beating up on my sister, and that was the end of that.

But back in my pretend to be just as macho as the other guys days I did drive dozers, front end loaders, dump trucks, hot rods,  stock car, demolition derbies, and flew light aircraft (bush planes) for Georgian Bay Airways. I chartering tourists to the islands. I raced snow mobiles, speed boats. I had a 25ft cabin cruiser, use to charter scuba divers out on the Georgian Bay.

Then I got married and the fun was over. "Oh me goodness." the games we play trying to pretend we are just as much a man as they are, what a waste of time that was, but I must admit it was fun. :D
