Under state and federal laws, a person with a transsexual disorder is considered disabled and protected from discrimination and must be reasonably accommodated by an employer.

This is in my neck of the woods!  Maybe 90 minutes from where I teach!

The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle ran this piece (http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060825/NEWS01/608250395) about that in this morning's paper. Very promising I thought on the part of the school district.
