After my transgender group my partner and I Stopped at Friendly's resturaunt. Nobody batted an eye,unlike my first time out as my true self (more on that later). As we were paying the check the waitress asks "Do you ladies need any change?" . This made my night. Nay, made my week.
My first time out, I totally didn't pass. I was the comic relief of the McDonalds that night......Very humiliating. So I took some time and toned down the make-up, bought a better wig. And this time I think I got it right.

And I can vouch for that. Every time my girlfriend and I go out to a restaurant, I get the same reaction. And I never get tired of that.

Haha. I remember my first time out. I had on too much makeup. Had short hair with no wig or anything. Just jeans, a stuffed bra, t-shirt, and some wobbly heals. It was a year before I would even be on hormones. And it was before I got any hair removal on my face. Looking back it as completely crazy. But nothing bad happened, so it was a huge huge border to cross.

Hi Bri, Doesn't it just make your life a little brighter. You will find that it will become easier as you move forward. It validates you and helps build confidence. I never tire of hearing myself refered to as Ma'am or she. Hugs and love Hon .

I was called ma'am at Walmart one time while buying steel toe boots for work. Maybe the lady thought they were for my hubby or something. A friend at church, Sandy, always calls me she, so I reciprocate. Her wife calls him,him. Sounds complicated?

Hi Brianna, welcome to Susan's and congrats on your first night out and passing. I was living in the female gender mostly full time except for at work for two years before I finally came out full time and went on HRT.
I went out on many occasions with a couple of female friends either to restaurants or to visit their girlfriends and I do remember how exciting and wonderful it was to be accepted by these women. After living two years full time it becomes like the normal thing to do, like I had done it all my life.
But I still enjoy getting dressed and making myself look all prettied up and going out and socialising. I love being around people, especially other women.

Sarah, yea I can go along with that, my first time out I frightened some parents and a their kid got dragged quickly away, lol.
