just came out over instant message to 2 friends. one is my best friend for the last 15 years or so who i've been trying to tell for a few months but couldn't bring up teh subject. I really thought he knew something, but he was genuinly shocked by the news and didn't understand what I was telling him at first. he came around shortly after and we are going to talk more about it tomorrow.
knowing that he might want to talk about this with someone else, and that he might feel that he is betraying me by outing me to someone else, I told him that he can feel free to tell anyone and I then went on to tell another mutual friend of ours. she took it even better! she was shocked by my pictures that I showed her and didn't expect me look the way I do. I told her that my other friend might need someone to talk to about this, and she agreed to help him through it if he needed some more help.
yay! that was a giant burden lifted. i'm hoping that it will be even easier for the next batch of friends to tell. then it's on to work. ha!

Fantastic.
It's easier each time. I came out to my family and friends largely by accident. They walked through the door. My SIL just said You're gorgeous. My other SIL said I've known for years. My BIL said aren't those heels a bit tall if you have a bad back - but I don't know about these things. His wife said, your not female you wouldn't know. All of this in 15-20 mins. I was still thinking about a heart attack. BTW I was with my wife who has always known.

thanks girls :)
it was really cool. since that time i've talked to them both on the phone and they have pledged just as much or even more support. one of my friends thought this was going to be an april fools prank, and he didn't believe me until I sent him some pictures. then not only did he believe me, he said he could see a huge difference in my happiness and couldn't wait to meet the new me!
I don't think this could have gone any better than it has, and I hope my luck continues as I tell more people.

Sister in Law and rtother in law.
My wife suffered a terrible accident and we use to live in an isolated area in the bush (Aussie talk). Because she couldn't move we came back to the city. We gave our front door keys out to the relatives in case they needed to get to Rebecca quickly. It "backfired" we were caught out but no one has a problem.
Coming out was easy ;)
I didn't have a heart attack-but close
totally accepted by the family
BIG confidence booster
started going out, joined a TG/TS club.
Go shopping al la femme. Living my private life femme.
Have to to work in drag.
