Transgender Advocates React To HRC Statement On ENDA  (http://echelonmagazine.blogspot.com/2009/03/transgender-advocates-react-to-hrc.html)
Echelon Magazine blog on issues concerning the LGBT community

Donna Rose
"As a board member I warned them that to reneg on their similar previous commiitment would be selling its soul for the sake of a symbolic victory. What has happened since? They've used their congressional scorecard to penalize supportive legislators whose standard for equality is higher than their own. They've done little to re-establish any sort of relationship with the broader transgender community."

I read the article and felt like a scab was being pulled open.

I still have a seething anger that is only marginally under control about the HRC, Joe S. and Barney the Frankfurter.

The only way I could hurt them is to ask for my membership money back, and refuse to ever sign up as a member again.

I have not received my money, and the calls for re-upping continue after repeated statements that I do not want to be called, or contacted, ever.

*sigh*
