Final legislative efforts to ban employment and housing discrimination against transgender people in Maryland are faltering in the session's final days.
Sen. Brian Frosh (D-Montgomery County) said Friday he wasn't sure if the Senate Judicial Committee he chairs would vote on the measure — or if any vote would make a difference.
"It's been up three different times and the committee has declined to vote each time," he said. "So yes, I've put it on the voting list, but I don't think at this point — it was late before, it's so late now I don't think it makes a difference."
