Your the first person who has actually said anything about St Georges day today...
Strange that when St Patrick's day comes around everyone is talking about it and its everywhere
Maybe because no one really likes the English eh?

To be perfectly honest that flag makes me very uneasy indeed.
Too many links to the far-right and football hooligans.
* Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.
o Albert Einstein
* Nationalism is our form of incest, is our idolatry, is our insanity. "Patriotism" is its cult.
o Erich Fromm, The Sane Society (1955)
* Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
o Samuel Johnson
* Nationalism is power hunger tempered by self-deception.
o George Orwell
* Nationalism ... is like cheap alcohol. First it makes you drunk, then it makes you blind, then it kills you.

Nah, American hooligans use the Confederate Stars and Bars I thought. Stick them right there on the pickup truck.

wouldn't say i'm a far right football hooligan, but i got a little george's flag i was wearing today, if the nice people start wearing one and all..
it's also shakespeare's birthday today, and (possibly) death day.
i'm not really a st george sign, i want a different saint, maybe even an english one. I want the venerable Bede to be the patron saint.

Wow what a mix! ;D
Like Pica, I am not a hooligan & I don't have an ASBO (yet there is always time ;) However I do like football.
So I can wear the English Shirt in pride.. or maybe not so.. depending on how they do this year..

weird strip this year, they look like an eleven piece westlife when they come out in the sweatshirts, i keep expecting them to sit on stools and sing an old ABBA cover.

Well I won't comment on that breakfast you have in front of you!
I love football and actually support England for my sins, you must know the continual anguish and pain that brings us all ;D
QPR as well, but don't like to talk about that as it's just too painful... four managers so far this season :o

I would probably feel more satisfied and entertained. Email's Fabio Capello the suggestion.

England is a confused, elderly gentleman who took a wrong turning trying to get from one side of London to the other, and is presently pootling through the Peak District somewhere near Macclesfield.
But he simply will not admit he's made a mistake.
God bless him.
