Title: Breast tenderness
Post by: helenr13 on April 26, 2009, 03:30:36 AM
I've been on HRT for seventeen months and have had breast tenderness around the nipples for about three months. Not just tender but VERY painful if they get accidentally jabbed or knocked. I appreciate that the soreness is due to the changes going on behind the nipples, but can anyone say how long I should expect to have this soreness and tenderness, please?

It is a sign of growth and it comes in stages. First the nipples hurt and form a mound. Then the breasts will hurt on and off while they grow  Welcome to womanhood  ;D

Are you taking spiro?  If so breast tenderness/soreness is one of the side effects listed.

Breast tenderness is a sign for me that I'm growing and becoming a woman. It's wonderful!

It's fairly standard, not just for trans women but also genetic girls going through puberty.

Hi Grace it's Shannon.  I'm going through a growth spurt this week and have been more in tune with my body.
