It's that special time of year again for Wyoming school students -- time to get ready for the prom! Prom is usually a joyous time to dress up and spend an exciting evening with a date, and having fun with friends and classmates. Most students remember this night for the rest of their lives.
LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender) students, however, sometimes confront discrimination on prom night. LGBT students have the same right as every other student to enjoy this special evening with their dates '- no matter who they choose. It is illegal for schools to forbid same-sex dates from attending prom.
