Hi all, danni here. This being my second post and following the instructions of the kind people that responded to the first(hey there: introductions). I'm here to find a little more information and help.
I'm looking for a therapist right now, in one of 2 places. atm, I live in Ohio, but going to be moving back down to Texas in a month or so. And that brings me to my question, should I: 1) go find one here and see if i can get the information that was gathered here, sent there. or 2) Wait until i get back to Texas to go to a therapist and just start from there?
Please and thankies in advance, and I'll be happy to answer any questions that you all may throw my way.

It is a pity you are not moving to NOrthern Ireland but hopefully you will find someone as clear, supportive, and challenging as Deborahx where you are going. Good luck on your voyage

Hi Danni and welcome to Susan's.
Regarding the see a therapist now or later question? If I myself didn't have any other pressing issues, I, personally, would wait the month. I say that for two reasons:
1. Cost. Most therapists charge a higher fee for the first visit. They get too know you and take down notes in regards to prior medical history. So my question to myself would be, why do this twice in the span of about a month?
2. Research time. The choosing of a therapist is a relationship that is suppossed to last at least a year. Therefore I would take the time to contemplate just who I choose for my therapy/ "transition tour guide" of sorts.
Best of luck to you...Mich'

Thank you for the advice Michelle. I think that is what I'm going to end up doing after all. Saving a little bit more money and start looking for a therapist down in Texas when i get settled in again.
