Title: Not sure this is the right place....
Post by: magilla on June 12, 2009, 12:42:19 PM
Hi all,

The subject says it. I am not sure I should be posting here but looking on the web, I was really impressed with the kindness and tolerance you folks showed to new comers.

I am not transgender (should that be not A transgender?). I am a cross dresser. I just don't feel right if I am not wearing a bra. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world who tells me she's amused by my desire to wear women's clothing. I am kind of confused though...do most cross-dressers feel sexually excited when they dress up? The fact is that sometimes I do, and sometimes not. I don't try to categorize myself but I would like to know where I fit in on the spectrum.

Anyway, I hope you are understanding about this. Even though I came out to my wife (damn but she is the most understanding person on the planet- I cannot express how lucky I feel) I really, really needed to say something in a public forum.

Chris,

You've found a good place in Susan's.

Yes you are welcome here, and so is your wife. We have an "SO" section as well.

Take care and best of luck to you,

Mich'

Hello, I'm a married cross-dresser, too. My wife is also quite supportive. It isn't so much that she's amused by my cross-dressing; it's more like since it gives me joy do so it pleases her as well.

Her only complaints are that I sometimes look better in her stuff than she does. I'm not so sure about that, though. There are mirrors in our home.

Once upon a time, I did get sexually excited by wearing women's close. But, that was years ago (I'll be 40 in September). These days, I find women's clothing can be a sensual pleasure (as in pleasing to the senses), but not really a sexual one.

Usually, it's just that I feel like there are times when I should be dressed in women's clothes. I think that genderflux or genderqueer are probably good terms for me, as opposed to transgender.

I think you are in the right place. Welcome aboard!

Welcome, Magilla.

There are many CDs here.  When I was a CD I would sometimes find sexual excitment in dressing but not other times.  Usually it just comforted me.  I think that's fairly common.

My understanding of the word transgender is that it includes anyone who doesn't fit into the "normal" idea of male/female - transsexual, intersexed, cross-dresser, drag queen/king, genderqueer, etc.  It's an umbrella term.

Good luck.  This is a public form.  Feel free to say something. ;)

Hi Chris.
As the others have said welcome. Please invite your SO as well. We are very welcoming.  We are not freaks, we are not odd. We are normal people caught up in a biology that  is different. I've been married for 27 yrs. Very happy times for both of us.
Guess what? It can work, love and understanding from both sides.
Many of us identify as TG, wanting and starting to go the whole way. But that doesn't mean you have to. There is an active CD forum. Just sit down, get the hot chocolate and read. And do ask your SO to join in. Makes life a lot easier in the end.

Love and Hugs

Welcome to Susan's, Chris. I'm a crossdresser and a transgenderist. My wife is supportive and so is my 22 year old son. My wife and I share dresses, skirts, sweaters, blouses, and blazers. I have more jewelry than she does  :) :). There are plenty of CDs here so you're in great company.
