Title: What do we believe

Before we start our transition, we maybe was a member of a church, sect or cult. I ask myself, if our religion/believe/faith changed in this time until now. Or does maybe or spirituality changed?
I for example, was a faithful member of the LDS "church". They excommunicated me cause I was trans. And they toldme, that i never could come back, unless I would re-change my surgery. I visit several christian churches, but I felt not that I was coming home. And than I found the path of the goddess and I became a wicca (witch). My spirituality AND my faith has changed!

First, LDS or "The Church" is not a religion. It is a CULT. I do not care what the "The Church" members beleive. Because there are so many it is reccognized as a religion. They are all delusional. Anyone who can possibly beleive in that pack of lies has problems with reality. You are very fortunate they don't want you. The SOBs will not take me off their roles. It is another of their ways to persecute me. I attend the Unitarian Universalist Church. Wiccans, Pagans, etc. All are welcome and gender is not a big issue. They welcome the TG community with open arms.

I was born into the home of one atheist and one prodestant, when they split up, I was raised by mum (The prodestant).
When the time came to be confirmed into the christian church, I started reading up on religion as a whole, starting with the bibe.
Couple of years later I came out to my family as a non-defined pagan.
Couple years after that I changes my official listing so that my "tenth" (the part of taxes that everyone pays and goes towards religious communities) would go to the university instead.
And about 8 years after that, I came out as a transsexual.
There's no correlation, for me, between my gender identity and my religious beliefs.
I consider myself Buddhist and heathen.

Hey hon. Please remember that we have members of all religions here. Christianity, Wiccanism, and Paganism are all seen as cults by non-believers as well.

I do not believe anything I hear and only half of what I see.

Many years ago when I first was discovering my true nature, I sought out the Xtian church for help. From the bigotry I received and the non help from their god.. I searched for something that mad sence to me.
I came across Wiccan and knew I was finally where my spirituality belonged. I don't discriminate against anyone because of their faith, it is a matter of personal choose.
I am a wiccan transwoman.

Wow, truest thing you ever said Nero, because, as it turns out, they are all cults.

I guess I could describe my current religious beliefs as being a
"Jeffersonian Agnostic". Otherwise considered a religion of one.

I'm totally agree with you! They are a DESTRUCTIVE CULT" cause their members have to pay for false doctrines and statements about several issues they gave. Not only gay and trans issues, also women issues or blacks and priesthood (e.g.) .
I'm glad that I'm not in this group any more.

As far as "Organized Religion" is concerned, I have become extremely jaded.
For the longest time, I was pissed at "The Almighty" and his "Minions" until I
realized that they weren't Her/His minions, they are followers of MEN who profess
to have "God's Ear" and claim to sit at the feet off JESUS and receive your
marching order directly from him. At one time I was "neck deep" involved in a
"Penticostal style" cult. Oh, I know it was a cult, ALL insult intended.
I've also have had the misfortune of working for three businesses owned and
run by Mormons. Each time these working relationships have ended badly. It
seems that if you are an "Infidel", any "God Fearing" Mormon can lie to you,
steal from you and in general abuse you in any manner they see fit.

I keep telling those "Watchtower" people that I'm a fairy princess and that their religion simply doesn't apply to us. They keep backing away slowly down the steps. Oh well. For me nothing was changed. From my spiritual position, coming out and transitioning was a non-issue.

You might find a chalk outline of a human body, some spilled catsup and a few
copies of "Watch Tower" scattered about on the front porch,
are an effective Jahova's witness repellent.
My great-grandfather, who was a devout catholic, lived with my grandparents for
the longest time. Great-grandfather, my grandmother's father and my grandfather
HATED each other. When the Jahova's Witnesses would come knockin,' Grandfather
would invite them in and sit and listen to them talk as he drank his beer because
Great-grandfather would not come out of his room while they where there.

I prefer inviting the jehovas witnesses in, give 'em a coffee and a chat.
