Dont be nervous, They are there to help you, just be open with him or her and go from there.
Dont expect to much from them they will just ask you questions and let you lead yourself down the path.

i think part of me being nervous is the fact that i don't look feminine (am 6.7" in flat shoes)or dress feminine and am thinking he or she will not take me seriously asking for hormones to bring my body in line with my scene of self as far as i can without surgery.

Its going to take some time to get to the scripts, much less the SRS, be willing to take it, I'm sure that their training will allow them to see through presentation and listen to what you are saying.

sometimes it is hard to pour out your feelings to a total stranger, but the more you can do that the better your therapist can help you. And Tekla is right about the therapist's professional training, so that shouldn't be a concern at all. The first visit is usually introductory. They might also ask you to take an evaluation test so they can better serve your needs. Best wishes! :)

I almost went into a panic attack at my first session. I would recommend jotting down some questions to ask your therapist and bring the info that you would as if your going to a new doctor.
And just tell the therapist how you feel,
Good luck,
Anna

I think Tekla hit the nail on the head. Tell your therapist the truth.
