Title: Not Alone
Post by: Wendy on September 13, 2006, 02:10:54 AM

Hi,
I like the people at Susan's Place and do appreciate the great effort! Many times I will read postings and not make a comment. I can relate to bits and pieces of various comments from different people.
When I close my eyes I am a different gender than when I look in the mirror. I knew at a young age a girl with a penis is not accepted. I never shared, read or talked about my experiences with anyone.
I realized that I was not alone in the world and other people might understand some of my comments at Susan's Place. Finally some of the unusual events in my life made a little more sense.
I also read the difficulties of many individuals that did a transition. Even Churches did not accept them which opened my eyes to reality!
At this point in my life I think I am a mixed gender.

Hi Wendy....
You are not alone, never forget that.
People come here for many reasons but the support and sense of being you get is fantastic.
Where ever you are along your journey, there is always someone to stop off along the way and chat with.

Hi welcome Wendy,
Yes Susan's Place is rich with a variety of different TGs. Each with various backgrounds, histories, experiences, and stories.
The hardest part isnt getting others to accept a TG. Hardest part is being oneself everyday, despite how others react. No matter what mixture or variation of gender one is.
Sadly yes, many wont understand, nor want to.
Your not alone.
Kendra

I've noticed that there have been a larger diversity of people appearing here. There are quite a few Androgyns, MTF, FTM, Intersexed, Genderqueer, and Crossdressers. Although MTF seem to be the largest group and even some people spanning multiple groups (such as myself), there is a good number of people in each group to provide some diversity. When I first came here, It seemed like MTF and Crossdressers were the biggest groups with just 1 or 2 people in the others. I'm glad to see more ddiversity now and I find it conducive to the quality of Susans.

Yes you are not alone Wendy.
Many of us before we came here have also felt that way.
But this is a different place than any other I know of. We support each other and don't judge. But we do tell each other what we think. So if I need a bit of reality someone will slap me across the face with it . But if I need a should to cry on I will get that too.
So don't be a stranger. Susan's is not just a website for TG people but a family.
Hope to read more of your postings.
Welcome to Susan's Wendy.
Jillieann

Welcome Wendy.....you have a home here no matter what gender you may identify as. For better or worse this home comes with some wacky friends so stock the shelves with Twizzlers.
(Heh heh...I'll sneak in under the cover of darkness and snatch me some Twizzlers)

Thanks everyone for your comments!
O.K. Helen W. I am out of the closet... as least for Susan's Place.
Brianna I did figure out how to get on the chat site. However I type so slow that the topic changed three times before I could reply.
Jillieann we chatted the last time I was at Susan's and we have had some similar experiences.
Kendra your comments to be oneself are very interesting. My identity as a young child was that of a female and I felt comfortable with that gender. In fact I felt quite self conscious about being forced to act like a male. However several decades later I guess I am a very masculine lesbian female?
I learned at Susan's that a minority of MTF prefer the company of woman and get turned off by the advances of men. Today I would be in the minority. I also learned that sometimes after SRS that the sexual preference can change.
..................
Do I place questions here or do I stick them in a forum?
Do the majority of males on female hormones tend to have little boobs? My family has told me to lose a little weight. Not much progress for me. :)

Quote from: Wendy on September 15, 2006, 01:30:42 AMI don't know. It's all anecdotal. Mine are a small B cup right now on 7 months of hormones.

Ask questions anywhere, Wendy. You can always start a new topic. May be best,
Type slowly in Chat?? Don't let that bother you. There are often several threads going on. And you can always join a more quiet channel like #CDTalk or #TSTalk.
