Trend report: men in high heels
Iconique Magazine has an article from 2006 on a designer Riu Leonardes. He is a Portuguese designer who has created a line of high heels for men.

I already saw some short men here wear high heels like that. Usually they look like ankle boots or plain shoes. Not pretty at all :'(

Those are just snazzy boots, not really high heels. Men who are into biker chic have been wearing higher heeled boots than those for years. :)

I actually wear a pair of high chunky heeled ankle boots most of the time these days, occasionally to work too. I've gotten compliments from male coworkers on them. Contributes to my 'rockstar' look I guess, heh. You can actually find heels like that on mens' boots if you look for the right ones. I'm not going to wear cowboy boots though.
I like the height they add, it's neat being so short.

I love wearing heels. Except the other night when I was trying to walk rather briskly because I didn't like where I was.
But I don't really like guys in heels. I'm not really into the "metro' look, I think I'm more traditional. I like guys to look like guys, hot, sweaty (but clean ) no offense meant to anyone, just PO and not BO.
Cindy, who has just bought herself some new boots with 2" heels that I'm SOOO in love with. Do PJ's and boots go together?

Ugh... some of the pics on one of the links (http://highheelspassion.blogspot.com/ (http://highheelspassion.blogspot.com/)) just look seriously strange because it's just so incongruous to have overtly feminine styled high-heeled shoes with bland, regular male attire. What is it - crossdressing in installments from the feet up? Noooo, this one gets the gong from me.

It may be called 'metrosexual'.

What a carefully worded, well qualified and reasoned introduction for a first post. Welcome :)

The boots are ugly. He probably got paid the wear them. I love heels and wear them to look femme not to be a man in high heels. I have my eye on some 6" fetish heels in pink. I will not be able to walk far in them but they will be fun to wear.
