Title: Will T change the size of your hips?
Post by: Dominic on July 07, 2009, 11:43:45 AM
So I seem to have recently discovered that I have HUGE hips. I mean, these things are absolutely ridiculous, and when I wear mens' pants they stick out like a sore thumb and just make my body look weird.

So my question is: Will T change this? I know that it causes some shifts in fat distribution, but would it likely be enough to make large hips seem even a little smaller? Is it possible for the bone structure to get smaller or slightly change over time? (this seems unlikely to me, but one can hope, right?)

The bone part won't change but the fat change can make a major difference. I'm still working on that part and liposuction is an option but one I don't want to pursue too early.

Fat redistribution helps a lot with the overall body shape. It takes sometime but you'll get there. The bone, however, won't change. But I don't think it's too noticeable. The thing that attracts the most attention is the fat.

Exactly. I used to have a lot of hip fat however once I started T my weight shifted and now is on my stomach so my hips aren't that notice-able.

Also gaining muscle in the upper body could help to even things.
