Title: skinny jeans
Post by: barbie on July 10, 2009, 05:14:26 PM
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hipgirlie.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2008%2F03%2Fskinny_jeans.jpg&hash=a88b7cb2a85d2c1189e6fc7d654b6ddedb5d41ca)

Sinny jeans are popular here among young ladies and even women at 40s. In the photo, they do not look so skinny, but women wearing them in street look like having slender and long legs, although they actually do not have so long and skinny legs. It's a kind of optical illusion.

Although it is summer, I usually need to wear long pants at my workplace and to attend a formal meeting. I have a lot of short pants, but not so many long ones.

I ordered online an item similar to the following:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.halfclub.com%2Fimages_Ogage%2FProduct%2FDefaultLarge%2F200807%2FP080725000415.jpg&hash=f0b5bfc0259a218cbb177f65a283c6cc267313fa)

They recommend I should substract 1 from my normal size, but it's online shopping. I ordered 27 inch waist size with 96 cm length. I can wear jeans with waist sizes from 25 to 29 inch, but the length sometimes causes headache. Hopefully no probem in length.

Probably I can wear heels with it at my work place  ;D

Finally, I got the jeans and wore it yesterday while tripping Seoul for business.

The jeans were very tight, making it very easy to tuck:

A lot of people studied me jeans, although the jeans do not look so skinny in the photo. The weather was cloudy after rain, and light conditon was not so good.

And I saw a young lady as tall as me in the subway. While walking to the train, I felt that somebody looked my back, which is usual. Then, a rarely tall lady passed me and I could see her back. Then, in a few minutes, she appeared again, and again passing me. She looked at 20s and her face was very fair, wearing very nice makeup. She looked as slim as me.

During the business meeting, I changed from sandals to sneakers.

I finally found a pair of skinny jeans that are tight on my ass AND still button around the waist. I love these things.

I'm done with skinny jeans.

Still into leggings though.

I think skinny jeans make my feet look bigger.

I like the look of skinny jeans because they usually come in neat colors like yellow or purple.
I like the ones with zippers at the bottom.
Surprisingly, I've never found a pair that fit, my calves are too big.
Maybe I should stop walking everywhere.

It is a rainy season, and I seldom wear the skinny jeans I ordered (I am afraid of skin problem in my buttock area due to lack of ventilation). I see many young ladies wear skinny jeans, and I think they look very sexy. Of course, women praise my skinny jeans, although I can not wear so frequently.

A few days ago, I saw two young women waiting a public bus. One wore hot denim pants and heels, and the other blue skinny jeans. Both were tall and slim and of course looked so sexy to me, but the latter looked more intelligent and more like a gentlewoman.

The girl with denim hot pants happened to follow me, studying my back as I also wore short white pants as in the avatar. She looked more volumious with ample skin fat, and had white skin color including her fair face. Mine was just skinny legs with brown, tanned skins.

I was jealous of her, but on the other hand, I imagined what if I can love her.... Just a dream.

I looked for skinny jeans with baggy hip in the internet, but could not yet find one.

::)  ::) How tall are you Barbie~~? The "twiggy look" will always be in but I think girls need to be careful. I was down to 150lbs last summer past and at 6' it's very easy to appear "too thin" without actually being so, being over 40 there's also a very fine line between "healthy" and looking "elderly & frail"  >:(

I fit a size 12 stretch jean easily but then length becomes a problem. Sisters, parents and friends are always trying to "fatten me up" ('cause their jealous?) but boys would never say a word!  ;D

Kiera. I am 6 feet (183 cm) at 143 pounds (65 kg).

Today I had to wear long trousers, and I chose the skinny black jeans while delivering a lecture in a colleage. The size is 27 inch waist and 98 cm length, making me feel uncomfortable. Surprisingly many people were interested in my black skinny jeans. They said my legs look like women's. In a restaurant, an aged women commented that my legs made her think I am a female entertainer. No negative comments. They all smiled at me.

With your cute face and chest -- who would ever look at your feet?

;D  ;D lol ok, now I'm jealous, from yer pics i wouldn't have guessed your not "gg short" at all! Problem I face is sisters and family (including many nieces/nephews) wouldn't be saying "your too skinny" if I actually presented more female than I do - it's a "catch-22" 11 year daughter and I plan on retifying this Georgian winter as we both could easily lose 15 or 20 more?

Currently 6', 165lbs w BMI under 20  ;)

Kiera,

I have been to Georgia including Atlanta and Savannah several times. It's a great place for exercise outdoors, and I saw a lot of people there do sports things.

I am not so much interested in my weight, but am rather paranoic about my waist size.

I seldom measure weight, but I remember that I could not see my BMI value in the BMI table attached in a doctor's office. I think 143 pounds (65 kg) is a ideal and healthy weight for me, but I do not think my body shape is typical whether I am a male or a female. A standard weight for my height would be 163 pound (74 kg), and your BMI sounds healthy.

I can loose my weight more, but that would hurt my health. When I was 20s, my weight once went down to 118 pounds (54 kg). At that time, I felt that I might die and I visited a doctor's office. The doctor looked surprised at my morphology  :)

For fashion, nowadays I realize that wearing slightly larger and baggy sizes make me look better. In the U.S., even size 2 low-rise pants were comfortable, but that rule does not apply here as there are many petite sizes. Choosing pants based on waist size does not seem to be a good idea: they are too tight and look too small, and more importantly, are not comfortable. Next time, I will purchased 29 inch pants.

Aye! I know what you mean! Figure is definitely a function of waist size!

Your avatar - is that your baby? I'll post mine in the gallery when I get a chance!

I starting to get into the skinny jeans. They fit really nice now that hrt has added to my thighs and butt. Yeah there is the worry that people will notice my feet but they are more likely to notice my legs.
a vote for skinny jeans,
lisa

Yes. She is now 5-yr old, and very interested in my fashion items. Nowadays she likes to walk in my 5-inch high heel sandals (red and pink) at home. They became her toys, and I turned them over to her, although they are and will be too big for her feet.

People like to call her 'pretty princess', but she does not like it. I guess she is tired of being called princess stuffs.
