Title: "Welcome"

Yesterday I ran into a woman I know. We've always seemed to have some connection but aren't close. She knew about my transition (who in town doesn't know? :P) but I hadn't seen her since starting to live full time.
She had never been physically affectionate but gave me a big hug. She asked how I am doing. And then she looked me in the eyes and said: "welcome".
That one word has had me glowing since. It is these small kindnesses that smooth out all the bumps along this path.
I hope each of your lives will be filled with small gifts of kindness.

K8, Why is it that you are the one person I know who seems to always find the positive?
I'm not a poet but you always inspire me to poetry. I don't get it.
I am glad things go well for you and I am very happy you found something to glow about as your personality glows all the time.
glad Your here.
