Title: Post-op vaginal wall sensitivity
Post by: Jasmine on July 29, 2009, 12:34:58 AM
Hi. I'm wondering whether the post-op vaginal wall has sensitivity all the way inside, or whether it is numb in there.

Is it as sensitive as the outside of a penis shaft?

And which surgeon did you use?

Thanks :D

I'm kind of numb which is to be expected, but I'm only 2 months post-op, and I still have a lot of healing to do.  I'm a Bowers' girl. ~smile~

Hey congrats :) Does Bowers do a penile inversion technique? I hope things go nicely from now on.

Biber girl, class of '74.

HOLY CRAP! From talking to my GG friends (the ones I know well enough to talk about such things) I have way more sensitivity everywhere than they do. I swear I could read Braille in there! The sensitivity grew more and more with each passing year.

Thank you.  Yes she does the penile inversion technique.  This is her GRS website:

McGinn girl, penile inversion, 1 1/2 year post op.

I'm not quite clear on what you mean by sensitivity.  Very soon after surgery, like a couple of weeks later, I could feel my G-spot/prostate and a few weeks after that I had a vaginal orgasm.

While dilating or during intercourse I can feel "fullness", but I do not feel sensation as you would by rubbing your fingers over your skin.  If others do, and that is something I have to look forward to, *oh wow*.

And as Matilda mentioned, it feels like I have always been this way.  And having had "outdoor plumbing" is so alien to me that it seems like a dream (nightmare :)) from another person.

Bio vaginas have sensitivity only at particular points throughout; they are not sensitive in most parts, however. Usually the pivotal points are at the vaginal opening, the g-spot, and close to the cervix. Count yourselves lucky you have feeling throughout.

I was checking the link above, and Dr. Marci Bowers' fees seem to have increased a bit, eh?

Her prices go up around 500 every year or so and have been as long as I've been wanting her as a surgeon.

unfortunately so.  MSRH has raised its costs & mtf grs has gone up $4000 in the last year.  compared to before, that's a big increase but she has nothing to do with it.  it's how MSRH works.

"Due to cost increases at Mt. San Rafael Hospital, we have been forced to raise our fees for primary, MTF surgery, which requires an extended stay in the hospital. However, with recent improvements in one-stage technique, we believe that most of our patients will not opt for a second-stage labiaplasty, making the inflation-adjusted costs little more than they were 20 years ago!"

I'm a Bowers girl too.  I was one of the lucky ones that got to schedule right on time & took advantage of the old fees.  It was money well spent & I've got nothing but gratitude for Marci & all the staff at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.  They made me whole. I'm finally free & that feeling is priceless.

You likely have it better than biowomen. Natural vaginas don't have as much feeling. They're made to withstand anything, not to feel good.

I too am a Bowers girl, almost 4 years post op.  I am sensitive throughout as well, sometimes uncomfortably so if I haven't dilated for awhile.  I am very happy with my result.

I too am a Bowers girl.  Class of 2005.  Can't complain about the results I've got.  I'm very sensitive too. I find that a combination of sex with a real person plus battery operated toys does the trick.
