Title: Why hello...
Post by: Nori on August 15, 2009, 01:09:08 AM
Hello...

Uh. This is really like... one of the first times I've ever done anything like this that suggests the probability that I'm transgendered. I mean... I've never told anybody I actually know in real life, and this is like the second or third time I've told someone online so...
Uhh. Yeeaah...

I'm anatomically female, but I already pass for male most of the time. People who don't know me always "sir" me, and then I don't want to talk because if I talk I'd give it away... but I talk and there's that embarrassing moment of oh-->-bleeped-<--it's-a-girl... Sometimes if I talk quiet I can make my voice really hoarse. I took this girl to a resturant once, and the waiter called me "sir" the whole time and never mistook (or... rightly-took...) me for a girl.

I'm around 79 or 80% sure that I'm transgendered at this point.

When I came out as "lesbian" (although I don't use that word anymore, I say "I like girls") I got a lot of "You're really young and don't know yourself yet."s.

That's what I'm scared of at the moment. Because I'm not sure about my gender... Even though it'd be tough, I wish at least I was certain that I was transgender, because there's a solid fact about yourself. I /can't/ just wait stuff out to see how I grow into it. I guess some people can but all these years spent "not knowing" who I really am are driving me insane. Now that I'm getting older and gender is getting more important, I've been freaking out and taking into consideration that maybe something's wrong...

Uh... I don't know what else to say. I'm still at the stage where I've barely said anything to anyone, so everything about this topic turns into kind of a vent because it's so relieving to get it into the open...

Hey there and welcome.

Hopefully you can get some insight and advice on this site and you can sort your way through yourself and find out what really makes you a happy person.  Keep true and stay honest with yourself and you'll figure it out don't worry!  Welcome!

Welcome, eh? If you ever need someone to vent on, just pull me aside and I'll listen. I'm in the exact stage as you, but it's pretty hard to see me as a girl irl. So... Best of luck to you and, again, if you ever want to talk, feel free to drop me a line.

Hi Nori.

Welcome to Susan's.  This is a good place to help work out that question we all seem to struggle with: What am I? ???  There's no rush.  It's nice to have a difinitive answer, but it is better to gradually work it out yourself because then you'll know. ;)

Good luck on your journey.

- Kate

Oooh Pizza! It's a little late at night, Brenda, sweetie, but if there's any left...

Sorry, Hi Nori, welcome to Susan's Place (and pizza parlor). You are now among friends and a newly expanded family. This is a great place to learn about other peoples stories and experiences and to see how they fit into who you are. I am still new here myself, only got here a few weeks ago and was very much where you are now - only my train is going the other direction MtF.

Just like Kate said, take your time to work things through and really get to know YOU. Speed only works well in racing, not in self-discovery. For what it's worth, it took me 47 years to figure out who I am - and I still have a lot to work out, but I now know so much more than I did a month ago.

So, pull up a stool, ask all the questions you want and read what everyone else is saying and if you are feeling down, depressed, hurt, happy, joyful, elated, or any other emotion, share with us we love to be part of it.

Hugs  :icon_hug: (oh and Brenda, one for you too hun  :icon_hug: Now pass that pizza)

Deanna
