Title: I can't seem to bind my breasts correctly - any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I'm new at this.
I couldn't afford the proper breast binder, so I spent fifteen bucks on two long ACE bandages. The sad thing is that I'm overweight and I have larger breasts, and I pinch my breasts into the bandages (wrapping them mummy-style) and my belly just puffs out and I look like a slope. I look fitter without binding, but I can't handle having breasts right now.
Are there any tips for overweight breast-binders? What about different binding techniques other than like a mummy? I dunno what I'm supposed to do. O.o I just bought them. This is my first time trying.

Try a waist slimming belt, about $14 US in any k mart for a longer one.

Sadly, if you have a gut on ya, it will stick out past your chest if you bind it well.
My gut sticks out farther than my chest when I bind (which is pretty much every waking hour) and I got a proper underworks binder.
I don't rightly care if I look like I have a little extra weight on me, as long as I look like a bloke with a little extra weight on "him".
'Course the best advice I can give you isn't binding techniques, but to go through what you eat in a day, cut out things that are low on nutrition and high on salts, sugars and fats, and start walking more and eventually getting into a good, solid, exercise routine.
Not only will that help with the gut, but it will help with the chest area. After all, tits contain a lot of fat.
(and for the record... I'm working on just that myself. )

Sorry I can't help you so much because, after coming out with myself, I started to pay a lot attention at my weight and my health. I lost some weight and now I don't have too much problems, even if I don't have a small chest.
Anyway, before my binder came, I used a lot sport bras and large dark t-shirts.
Anyway, best thing you really can do is to try to loose some weight and to have a healthier life, not only for reducing your chest but also make your life and your transition better.
Avoid sweeties and junk food, drink only plain water (no alcholic drink, no drinks with gas), try to eat everyday greenies and also try to do some exercise. Also walking at least half an hour everyday will give you some nice results. At the beginning it seems hard to do, but after a while you get used to have an healtly life and it will go better. :)

Another suggestion - Don't try for a totally flat chest. Most guys, especially if they are over weight, have a bit of curve. Try pushing them up and out a bit, rather than trying to make them completely flat. As an over-weight guy myself, I've found that "meaty pecs" look more natural than a totally flat chest.

Post a photo. Hard to give specific advice without it.
