Title: Starting to pass?

Somewhere in another thread I mentioned I'm getting less ma'ams and less usage of gender pronouns from people. Well, I had some good experiences yesterday during an unpleasant event. My engine light on my car has been on for awhile. We tried different things but nothing worked so I had to take it to a mechanic. I was there for 5 1/2 hours and, due to needing to order a part, won't get it until Monday. While they were doing alot of tests and checking out parts I left a few times when I was told the different testing would take awhile. In truth they had alot of vehicles and not enough mechanics so they were rotating cars.
Anyway, I had my hair pulled back and was wearing a hat. I usually do this when out (except at work) and had been doing this for a long, long time. While there every single mechanic & client called me a guy except one. He was the one I talked to when I first got there and I believe my voice gave me away. Even still whenever I'd leave and come back he'd call me sir until he'd correct himself (which embarassed me greatly :icon_redface:). So, I got alot of guy, man, sir and gentleman. Yay! ;D
I know this is nothing compared to guys who pass all the time, but this was my first big experience of many people constantly seeing me as a guy- especially when it was all guys. What's interesting is I wasn't even trying... I was just doing my normal thing. I still think I don't have enough facial changes yet to be undeniably male but something's going on.

Awesome, good work! ;D
I work in a souviner gift shop which has 100's of people pass through every day. I remember when I first started getting the he and sir's it was the best feeling in the world!
A couple of weeks ago for the first time in MONTHS and MONTHS, some old trashy country fat rude wanker called me a man, then said no sorry the lady. I naturally corrected him, and his repsonse was "Well you look like a girl to me". What a _______ ____!!!!!
In the following months I am sure you will notice more and more positive changes around your body and the way people perceive you. It is an excellent feeling ;D ;D ;D ;D

I had another good experience yesterday. I have to answer the phone at work sometimes and of course talk to clients. I get ma'amed all the time over the phone. :icon_blah: Yesterday I had to help answer the phones because our secretary was out... so I answered them alot more than usual. I didn't get a single ma'am that day!
It's well known at work that I hate talking on the phone and despise answering it. Therefore, my knowledge of tranfering and commands with the phone system isn't the greatest. Yesterday I handled three calls at once. This is a big deal for me. My manager was so impressed she was going to title me "Queen of the Phone". Once I told her that one of the three got disconnected my title was changed to "Prince of the Phone". Interesting.
Work has been changing too. The employees who have been there since I've started wearing just men's work clothes (5 months) refer to me with feminine terms (women, girl, ect.) much less. I did this one big favour for a guy and he said "You are a good... uh... person". I notice the men like to chat with me more than usual. I've almost always been involved in the "guy things' at work from the beginning. The owner, from the beginning, treats me more like a guy. He's quite misogynist and verbally abuses and belittles the women- but he doesn't to me and less so with the guys. I was told I intimidate him. >:-) However, I have noticed the long time employee women are calling me by feminine terms more often. Maybe I've just become more sensitive to it?
In other news my sideburn hair is getting longer and I'm getting upper lip hair. But, my body hair is a platinum blonde colour and it's so light you have to use a microscope to see them. And the acne? Give me a break please. ::) It's not so much on my face but the sides and back of my neck, back, shoulders and chest are ridiculous. I've been using zit medicine and taking Zinc & B vitamins, but this is ridiculous.

Well, if it's a whitehead it's best to pick it and squeeze the infection out. It actually does heal faster doing that- no matter what your taught. Most of mine are flesh coloured so you feel them more than see them. :-\

Well the white pus is dead white blood cells that died in the. . . bacterial war? So you won't stop the infection but it probably takes less time than letting your body reabsorb the dead cells.

Even when I was trying to be a boy, having been born a boy, wearing boy's clothing, I'd get that from some people from that demographic because I had long hair. It's not you. (Ed: I assume you don't have nice pretty like a pony hair since you're ftm, but, 'soft men' receive harassment from other men all the time. Most notably, by calling them female.)

No. They are protected from the environment in there.

Huh. Every time I pop a whitehead it seems to heal quickly. If anything it looks better. Nobody likes seeing a huge festering zit on someone.

"Pus can be white, slightly yellow or green, and is relatively thick, approximately the same as Elmer's Glue. It's actually a collection of dead skin cells, white blood cells called neutrophils, and some bacteria that is still putting up a fight. It is a visible sign that you have an infection."
It's not just dead white bloodcells.
Also;
"As ironic as it may seem, however, a small amount of pus, particularly in a pimple, is a sign of good health. People who don't produce enough neutrophils also don't produce enough pus, and can have a terrible time fighting off infections. In people with healthy immune systems, a simple pus filled pimple suggests your body is working as it should."

Almost 3 months on T and starting to pass at times... love it when it's young guys on the street thinking I"m a guy, I figure they've got the best "eyes".
