Title: Too Late for Me?

I was just wondering, is it too late for sperm storage if I've been on HRT for over 9 months? I began transition at 20, and there's no way I could have afforded it back then... I had to borrow money just to afford laser and to see an endo. Now my finances have freed up enough to have storage for maybe 1 year, which hopefully by then I'll have enough to store permanently. For what it's worth, the first five months I only took maybe half the dose (I was waiting to see an endo and didn't want to risk my health).
Any hope?

I don't see why not. HRT doesn't stop sperm production, merely reduces it, so as long as the testicles are still there, it shouldn't be a problem, especially if you haven't been on long term HRT. My guess is that prior to harvesting, they would want you to reduce the hormones to maximize your count. Of course, the best advice will come medical personnel familiar with the procedure.

The only way to know if it is "too late" is to go in and donate. They can test the amount of sperm and their motility (actually more important than the amount...).
