Hi Everyone
My name is Jennifer and I am a m to f crossdresser. It all started when I was young, maybe 10 years old, when I decided to put on my sister's dress which she had left in the bathroom on top of the laundry hamper. She was a bit smaller than me, being a year and a half younger than me, so her dress was too small for me. But I remember barely fitting into it, but immensely enjoying the feeling of wearing a dress. I guess it made me feel very peaceful and that was one reason I enjoyed it so much.
I never really dressed up again until I was a teenager, about 18 years old. I had bought a nightgown to sleep in and I managed to keep it a secret by doing my own laundry so that my mom wouldn't find out. But, one day when I was out of the house, my mom discovered it beween my mattress and box springs when she decided to "be nice" and wash my bed sheets for me!
When I came home, she confronted me with it and I fumbled around for an explanation but then decided to just tell her that the nightgown was what I preferred to wear to bed, as it was more comfortable than my regular men's pajamas. The material was softer and smoother and the fact that it had a skirt to it meant that my pj legs wouldn't get all bunched up on my legs when I slept.
To my surprise, she didn't see anything wrong with it, 'as long as I still liked girls' (which, of course, I do, as I am definitely not gay). From then on she was willing to put it in with the laundry and I was able to just keep it in my dresser drawer like all my other clothes. What a relief.
I didn't press it, so I waited until I moved out of the house when I was 20 before I started buying dresses, lingerie, heels, makeup, jewelry, etc.
When I have more time, I will explain more about myself. Meanwhile, I like the look and the mood of this site and I hope I will be welcome here.

I am so happy things went well for you when your mom found your nightie, and that she was so acceepting. Hope she will be just as accepting for you when you come out all the way.
