Title: Secondary Labiaplasty (Clitoral Hood)
Post by: Shelina on September 15, 2009, 08:48:46 AM
I heard this surgery cannot be done immediately together with the general Sex Reassignment Surgery. Why is it so and after how many month/time are you ready to do after doing the general SRS?

There are 1 stage SRS. Like the ones performed from Suporn and Brassard.

I believe it is the next day or two where they finish the job. I'm not sure why, though.

Originally almost all GRS was "two stage".  Nowadays "one stage" is more popular -- reasons are obvious.  There are surgeons who do either or both.  Check our Dr. C. McGinn's site for a nice explanation.

Let's not forget about Marci too.  She performed my surgery & I don't need a labiaplasty.

Dr Meltzer does the 2-stage surgery, and the labiaplasty is done under local anaesthetic 3 months or longer after the vaginoplasty.
