And a new one, NCIS Los Angeles

True Blood (cuz Ryan Kwanten, Stephen Moyer, and Anna Paquin are all totally cute)
Dollhouse, just because I'm a diehard Joss Whedon fan

Sounds like my wife.
She's recently added a NCIS addiction to her other faves
(and, btw, to the extent I find guys "hot" - I strongly agree with you re Mark Harmon)
Do you watch "Castle"? There's a crime story with a hunky lead for ya....plus a great sense of humor.
I hear Bones is of a similar vein.
Anyway, my current list of things I make a point to see, in rough order of how not-willing I am to miss them:
Castle
FlashForward
Stargate: Universe (excellent cast)
Heroes (despite its flaws)
Fringe (Joshua Jackson fascinates me too though he's underused)
Smallville (just cause I'm a comic book geek)
And, when they are on, Lost and 24
All time?
Star Trek/ ST:DS9
Firefly - and a slew of other "canceled-too-soon" shows
including "Nowhere Man", "Harsh Relm", "Legend", American Gothic" and many more
The Rockford Files
The Greatest American hero
Moonlighting
and many more
Among half hour comedies...
NewsRadio, Taxi, WKRP, Benson, Dick Van Dyke, Everybody Hates Chris, SportsNite, Night Court, and so many others.
Also throw in The Carol Burnett Show for good measure.
And this thread will no doubt be filled with head-slappers that make me say "how could I have forgotten THAT one?"

My favorite of all time was BBC's "Connections"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcSxL8GUn-g# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcSxL8GUn-g#)
More up to date, I love just about any documentary
or educational show, historical or otherwise.
I like NCIS because it is intelligently portrayed and every once
in a while it gives me a glimpse of my beloved Tidewater, Virginia.
I love the character "Abby" played by Pauley Perrette, who is
"The Real Deal" as far as criminal science is concerned.
Even more so she is a real human being, not an empty
shell as you would expect to come out of Hollywood.

is for real. She attended Valdosta State University, in Valdosta, Georgia, U.S.
and received a masters degree in Criminal Sciences. She is an outspoken supporter
of gender rights and puts her money and efforts where her mouth is,
as an altruistic human activist. She is a published poet, author and vocal artist and

Yeah Angel is way cuter than Buffy, lol. I actually watched that series first, and have been slowly working on Buffy and it's causing a lot of mental stress seeing him be a bad vampire. It causes me more stress to watch him simper over that Deschanel floosy though, he needs to just bite her and be done with it.

Television, whats that?
Seriously, Dr. who was on before cable and I watched it on a black and white tv on the front porch all winter long because that is the only way I could even if it did come on at midnight and I had to work.
I no longer have tv, I have internet.

Since discovering I can watch shows on the internet I've watched waaaaaaaaaaay more TV than I should.
Firefly is hands-down my favorite show. I watch NCIS, even though it's not as good as it used to be- the earlier seasons were much better. I also watch Criminal Minds, and Castle (OK, I only watch that because Nathan Fillion is in it...) and I always enjoy watching old X-Files and Star Trek (TOS) episodes.
Someday I'll get around to watching Battlestar Galactica... Boost my nerd resume. :D

LOST and Skins are my absolute faves, but Chuck and Misfits both come in as close seconds. Other TV shows I enjoy watching regularly include Dexter and Entourage (it feels a lot like the same plot line just repeated over and over). If I'm just casually watching TV, which is rare, the Food Network (Iron Chef, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, etc.), Discovery Chanel (Mythbusters, Daily Planet, etc.) and OLN (Man vs. Wild, Survivorman, etc.) will do just fine. I really want to start watching some shows my friends have recommended, like Dr. Who, Scrubs, Inbetweeners, Nip Tuck, Freaks and Geeks, as well as How I Met Your Mother.
Edit: I also love Seinfeld, even though I don't watch it anymore. I grew up watching re-runs with my parents (I swear they know every punch-line and episode) and sisters. I tried watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I never truly got into it.

Mythbusters.
It's educational, entertaining, and occasionally you'll learn something really bizarre. For example, who would have thought that being "a bull in a China shop" is actually a good thing?

I never used to watch TV at all, but just recently I've found myself a bit hooked to Come Dine With Me!
The past couple of weeks, I've also been watching (and legitimately impressed by) The Walking Dead. Whoda thunk it, quality programming DOES exist! :o

I'm a fan on Come Dine With Me, i'll admit it is addicting.
Walking Dead is surprisingly good, i managed to finish it before i returned to England.

As NB said, love Criminal Minds, also NCIS, CSI *but not Miami, I mean what is the like of David Caruso as an actor people have - bloke can't act to save his life!*
Erm, a number of different UK dramas that are no longer airing, Bad Girls being one. Also a show that didn't get the credit it deserves (imo) and that is - Taking over the asylum - which had Ken Stott and a young David Tennant in. Was dark, funny, sad - you name it, they managed to put it all together. I believe they did repeat it, only briefly on one of the more obscure BBC channels a couple of years ago, and released a DVD. Only really because of David T and his role in Doctor Who. It won critical acclaim though, and I think some Bafta's.
Also watch The Mentalist, as well as Lie to Me - although I've found the latest season a little too staid and predictable. And a lot of sports.

With the approach of Christmas and the end of ratings, TV here is even more of a wasteland than usual.
One of the few programs I bother turning it on for is Robson Green's "Extreme Fishing". If I haven't been fishing for ages, at least I can watch someone else having fun.

I don't watch any "reality" stuff on my own. I'm sometimes in the room when others are watching it. I can't think of a single faux reality show I would willingly choose to watch over turning the damned thing off.
I do like an occasional history or science show even if it's not a rigorous documentary type thing (the stuff the history channel used to do about ancient weapons or such like) but I'd still watch a scripted series first.
Right now these are the shows i make a point of seeing, in rough order of importance:
1. Person of Interest
2. Fringe (virtual tie with #1)
3. Castle
4. Ringer
5. Terra Nova (started mediocre but coming on of late)
6. Once Upon a Time
7. Grimm
8. Haven
9. Hell on Wheels
10. Justified (starts back in January)
11. The Walking Dead (off until February)

I've never heard of any of these shows. I'm kinda stuck with either very well established or very well regarded or very offensive shows. Basically something has to reach a critical mass of either viewership or fandom for me to hear about it and acquire it.

1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 are in their first season - although PoI is getting very good ratings.
Castle does pretty well in the ratings as well, and if you were by chance a Firefly fan - Castle is Nathan Fillion's show.

Lol Firefly does have some diehard fans. I used to love Buffy, and xfinity has 5 episodes of Firefly, so I guess I'll check it out. See, you just demonstrated what I mean. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong country, because my current top favorites all air, or used to air, on BBC America (making them nearly impossible to watch on the actual TV) so I pretty much only watch tv shows online.
1)Torchwood
2) Dr. Who
3) the inbetweeners
4)bedlam
5)fawlty towers
6) Being Human (hated the american version)
I do watch some American shows though, occasionally
7)Chuck
8)Grimm
9) workaholics
