I think that would be me.  I won't go into detail because I'm still not that comfortable but yah I think it describes me.  When I find some good friends here I'll gradually share more.  It's a tiny bit of a sad and touchy subject for me.  But I came here to try to understand myself more, as well as understand others.

Nice to meet you Red. Feel free to put your feet up.

There does not seem to be a 'standard' androgyne on this forum. We are all our own shades of grey. That self acceptance and feeling comfortable with yourself is a truely worthy thing to chase. Nobody is going to judge you here Red. If you want to discuss things in a more 'private' are you can always use the just for us androgyne forum. Only us non-binaries can view it.

Myself I am male bodied. I don't have a male gender identity. I don't have a female gender identity but I lean in that direction. My earliest memories have me not feeling I belonged - I could not fathom where all the gender rules came from and had no desire to follow them. My prefered presentation and body is pretty much at the female end of things though I don't feel I am a woman. I consider myself non-binary but feminine gendered. It took me a long time to figure things out and am still in that process - I'm in my early 30's. Currently I have had laser to remove my facial hair and have an appointment with an endocronologist next month to get some hormone therapy. But I don't think I am typical of androgynes in this regard. I am also happily married and have two kids and two cats. Just thought I would tell you this to point out that nothing is straight forward, but happiness is a real possibility.  Nice to meet you.

Welcome Red! Glad you've joined us here. There are many ways to be androgyne... I'm male bodied, more female identified, also non binary.

Welcome red, to the unicorn forest. Since we are "in the middle" there are lots of us here with various stories to share, but we welcome all unicorns. When you get more comfortable then feel free to share your story. We won't bite  :D

Androgyne: An androgynous person

Androgynous: Being neither distinguishably masculine nor feminine, as in dress, appearance, or behavior.

Thanks for the welcome and definition.  I was always into Pete Burns (from Dead or Alive) and Boy George.  I could always relate to them because I'm male bodied and androgynous (Have you heard that Pete Burns is getting the change?  Just what I heard.)  I made a website about him through yahoo but it's gone now.

N E way, thanks again.

Hi,, Red & wellcome
we are all different . there is no we are all the same . i m a mix of both male & female & happy being both . yes i had s r s & b a . so i could live as a woman yet still retain my male past .  if its past . its who i am . so just be your self .
You ll swing both ways .   does not matter . how you go about coming out youll do it much better than i .   for me it was 11 years ago & i m 62 ... so dont worry . just ask ??   & learn like we did . & do . & grow .  the first detail is accept your self for who you are then go on from there .
all the best & have a neat time ........

I'm sorry this is off topic, but I just wanted to say it's been interesting reading all of your stories.
nicky and riven_one, i found the group membership thing for androgynes.  I've not been approved yet.  I hope they approve me though.  I was like riven_one at first - i was like, "what? they got private places to talk?!" lol -Red

Oh you might not be able to go there cause you have a male marker on your profile...

I'll ask Nero about that one.

group membership should be independent of the gender selected in the "Forum Profile" part of a users profile (or, candy mountain is open as soon as the request is ok'ed)

That's unfair. I consider myself an androgyne, though I'm pulled towards the male side of everything more often than not. Looks like I'll have to take it off my profile again, just so I can view that board. ;D

Nope, still can't view it. :(

Do you go by another name on another gender related site with a different name?

HI :-)
I took off the male marker.  Hopefully that will help them decide about my membership :-)

you just need to request access, don't worry about your marker, keep it as you want it.

Sorry to stear you wrong. I forget these things seeing as I have universal access  :embarrassed:

Aww you didn't stear me wrong.  Everything's cool.  I'm glad you updated me on that.  I'll request access.  I may put my male marker up later.
By the way thank you for not taking it too personal when I said you were pretty.  Not hittin' on ya, I can just see your heart (internal beauty) through your smile (external beauty).
Have a good day and thanks again!! -Red

to the best of my awareness, your marker can be male, female, none, all, other, etc and you can still sign up for androgyne on this site.
