Drag Show in a Small Kentucky Town, According to Drag Star Paul Barnes

The first drag show I ever saw was at the Village Station in Dallas, Tex. The show featured some of the top drag queen performers in the Dallas area and it was a really good show.

In New York City, I began to do variety shows with the famous Scotty the Blue Bunny and Murray Hill. Scotty performed drag differently from the rest -- so much so that he may not even be considered a part of the same genre. And Murray isn't considered a drag king anymore.

Paul Barnes and I were in high school marching band together. He now performs a classic drag character named Christy Blair. I asked him what it's like to have a drag show in the small town of Hopkinsville, Ky.
