The Queer Student Union's bi-annual drag show had about 600 students laughing, singing, dancing, getting lap-dances and screaming "We love pussy" for over two hours in the Chesapeake Rooms of the University Union Wednesday night.

Theresa Macheski, president of the QSU, said that the drag show is a great opportunity for a diverse audience to get a peek into the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

"I want people to know that we can have fun," Macheski said. "We can kick back and relax. We're not always angry and political; we do have a good time."

I sort of agree with the comment below the article.  This is entertaining I guess, but news?  Guess the school paper was hard up for a cover story.

1) Do they really believe that the people that would show up to a
show like this would not already be an open minded group?

2) Do they actually think screaming "We love pussy" and
giving lap dances is an exercise in bridge building?
